Hi Gary; with that 3-bolt pattern you need the # T63FR instead of the # DX83FR. This matches your DICO Aero 6000 measurements which can bee seen in the diagram below. It doesn't show your 2.70" measurement but if you use the good old Pythagorean theorem you can find that that measurement is the same as what you have. view full answer...
The door clamp style of roof racks like the Inno part # INB137, # INSUT, and # INK685 do not allow water to leak into the vehicle. If you check out the picture I attached you can see that the clamp actually fits above the door seal. view full answer...
We have Rhino Rack roof racks that fit your 2017 Kia Optima, but the square bar setup you mentioned is not a fit.
Instead you'd want the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA , and # DK436 which is a confirmed fit and would work well. view full answer...
Hey Jerry that's kind of hard to say without some dimensions but I can still help. Basically you need to measure from the top of your hitch opening down to the ground and then get from the bottom of the coupler lip on your trailer down to the ground. The difference between the two dimensions is the rise/drop you'd need.
If you check out the attached help article you'll see more info on this. view full answer...
My personal favorites are racks that use the aero style crossbars. Not only do these bars look great but since they are also aerodynamic, the amount of wind noise that you experience is greatly reduced. In order to install this style of rack on your 2006.5 Kia Optima, you will need Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black # RR33SR as a custom fit. view full answer...
Yes it is. I checked with Thule and the Thule Gateway XT Bike rack part # TH78VR that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2012 Kia Optima so it would work great for you. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well.

Part # P315 probably would not work with your hitch. My information shows that the only available hitches for your 2008 Kia Optima are Class I hitches and P139 is for Class II only.
We do have another adapter that will work for a Class I hitch. It is part # HTAD and it will allow your Class I 1-1/4 hitch to accept 2 inch accessories. You will need part # PC2 to hold the adapter into your hitch, and if you do not already have one, part # PC3 to hold your bike rack to the adapter.

I did some research and per your owner's manual on page 5-45, the tongue weight capacity for your Optima is 176-lbs. That weight would be the combined weight of the carrier and the cargo you place in the carrier. You want to make sure you do not exceed the tongue weigth capacity of your vehicle.

Hey Veronica, thanks for reaching out!
When we installed the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11351 on a 2009 Kia Optima we found that from the ground to the top inside of the hitch receiver was 9-1/4" so from the ground to the bottom of the receiver is going to be about 7-3/4" so you'll want to test this out to see if you'll have adequate clearance or not.
You'll also need to install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118433 and pick up a ball mount. I'm attaching a helpful article that... view full answer...

That is correct, the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer Bike Racks # HLT does not work with the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # KU74FR because of the built-in anti-rattle system the V2 has. Instead you would need a Kuat hitch lock without a threaded pin.

Choosing the correct Timbren Axle-Less system will depend on a few things. First will be the weight capacity needed. Going off the 1,000 pound load you could be going up to, I am going to suggest a 2,000 pound set up. That being said, these do have larger spindles than the average 2,000 pound capacity axles. The utilize the inner bearing # L68149 and the outer bearing # L44649, which are more common on a 3,500 pound axle. So depending on the bearings you have, you may need to add the etrailer.com... view full answer...
The Thule Replacement QM3 Brackets # TH04997 has mounting holes 4" (center on center) apart, so they're going to fit much wider crossbars than your current brackets which only allow for bars around 2" wide and are designed for square bars. The QM3 brackets are the perfect solution as long as your current cross bars are no more than 3-11/16" wide, so I recommend measuring to confirm the width of your current bars.
It should also be noted that the QM3 brackets are designed to fit on the... view full answer...
