The BD2-545-17 has been phased out, so you would need to buy the entire hub with new bearings # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. The reason for this is you should not be using used bearings in new races which are preinstalled in all hubs, as a used bearing has actually worn into the original race and is no longer the same size as when it was new. Yes, it's pretty common for slide toppers to fit right next to patio awnings. Basically you just need 5 to 7 inches of clearance on either side of the slide out for the awning to fit. To pick out a slide topper you would need to measure width of your slide out including the flange.
