The right side of the diagram is what you would see if you pulled the connector out, turned it around and looked inside. One option is to relocate the propane tank tray. A lot of times the trays are attached to the A-frame with self tapping screws. You could remove the screws and move the tray front/back as needed. There is not any kind of adapter that is made for this purpose and you will have to connect the frame brackets 20-25 inches back from the center of the ball if you want to use a Blue Ox WD hitch like the # BLU75FR.

I have contacted Gate King and in between each position the tailgate will move at a 22 degree angle. So what this means is if you were to open the tailgate flat, raise it to the first locked position the tailgate will be at a 22 degree angle. When moving the gate to the next position it will move another 22 degrees before locking into the second position and so on through the six remaining positions.
