I confirmed with Curt that the Curt Front Mount Hitch - 2" # C31069 does not have a specific class rating. However, based on its 500 pound tongue weight capacity and a 5,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity, it would fall between the class II and class III weight ratings of a rear hitch. I have attached a chart to make this determination clearer. When considering the class, the most important factor is the size of the receiver opening (which is 2 inches) and the weight capacities.

Another thing to note is that it is important to check with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure that the front of your vehicle can handle that much weight.
