Today we're going to be taking a look at Deka's Shrinkable Tubing. These are available in either red or black and gauges between 2-8, 8-12, 10-14, or 14-18. You'll want to use heat shrink to cover up any exposed surfaces, especially on power circuits. We've got some here covering up the ends of our ring terminals where we've crimped it onto our battery wires. We also used it here where we connected two wires together using a non-insulated crimp. And you can see we've used it again here on a larger gauges.
You want to make sure that you use the appropriate size for the gauge wire you are working with.It's a shrinkable EDA tubing that is slightly larger than the gauge you're working with when you're using that appropriate size. You slide it over the wire before making your connection. Once you've made your connection you slide the shrink tubing back over the exposed wire and apply a heat source. I recommend using a heat gun. If you need a heat gun you can pick on up here at etrailer.com.
You can see here as the heat source is applied to it the tubing shrinks tightly over our exposed wiring keeping out any moisture and corrosion that may occur. And that completes our look at Deka's Shrinkable Tubing.

These heat shrink sleeves worked as expected. Heat gun gave a better final appearance than using a propane torch.
As usual, I diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts as needed. As promised, needed parts arrived as scheduled and boat trailer lights fixed in time for my fishing trip.
The only product that I was able to find that covered 14 - 10 gauge wire so I could cover the splices in the brake wire from one side to the other
Very good... did the job and have not had a single electrical issue since rewiring my trailer with LED Lights and the shrink tubing

Since I live in Canada it is a big problem if I had to send items back across the border to etrailer if the items were not what I thought they were. The short videos that etrailer provides with each product is extremely helpful in determining to purchase or not. Thank you for that feature. Knowing a little about video production and the costs associated with that, it must cost etrailer a pile to give us (the consumers) what appears to be a simple addition on their site

My order was simple, some heat shrink and a few heat shrink butt connectors, no surprise that what I ordered is what was sent. The surprise I did get it how fast the order was processed and shipped. Shipping throughout the country right now is hit or miss- I’ve got an order from a major U.S. distributor for some simple tools, placed 2 weeks ago and still being “processed”...this order with etrailer was like 4 days, including a weekend, from when I clicked submit til it was in my mailbox. That’s outstanding! Thank you!
It might be possible to give 5 stars but after purchasing all the products about a year ago, my little fiberglass trailer is not even close to being ready. All the lighting is hooked up and they all seem to work, so that's a good thing. The other products that I purchased have not been installed yet.
I would like to mention how pleased I am with e-trailer videos showing everyone how their products look and how they're used. Keep it up, I am a happy customer.

Product exceeded expectations work extremely well for my trailer rewiring project
Exactly what I was expecting. Well packaged and arrived in 5 days. Using to make water tight seals on my trailers wire connections.
The replacement trailer lights plug is much sturdier than any molded plug I have seen. Installation was quicker and simpler than I expected. The silicon grease provided should do a good job of keeping are and water off of the connections. My trailer has a removable tongue so it has a total of three connections I plan to order an extra male and female plug just to have on hand.
