Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these Hellwig Load Pro 35 heavy duty helper springs. Now these springs have been designed to fit your 2003 to 2016 Sprinter 25 2500s and 3500s. And on custom-fit parts such as these springs, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Just input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will confirm if these springs will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. These custom helper springs have a load leveling capacity of 3,500 pounds, and they're going to install above your Sprinter's rear factory leaf springs to reduce sway and body roll while preventing sagging when towing or hauling heavy loads.
They're going to extend the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes. And these springs will flex with your leaf springs to help limit bouncing while providing optimal stability. Now this is going to be a bolt-on insulation, again, above your factory leaf springs, with the included custom insulation kit. And as you can see, I've attempted to take some of the hardware, the U-bolts, and things like that, and kind of place it where they're going to be during the installation, just to kind of give you an idea of what the installation's going to look like, but you will receive this hardware to bolt this on. And the driver's side and the passenger sides can be adjusted independently for uneven loads.
Now, I do wanna mention that if your Sprinter is equipped with a brake fluid proportioning valve, these constant rate springs are not recommended. Only progressive rate helper springs should be used, and you can find those options from Hellwig here at etrailer.com. Another item to mention is if your vehicle is equipped with a factory overload, it may be, a factory contact overload, rather, it may be necessary to remove that before installing the new helper springs. You'll want to consult the installation guide. And then finally, you wanna make sure that you don't install these on vehicles with composite or plastic leaf springs.
These Hellwig springs are robust, so if you install these with spring factory leaf springs that are plastic or composite, these springs could fracture those, just so you know. These are made here in the U.S.A., have a durable steel construction, so that's going to ensure long-lasting performance. And they do feature a silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish. That's gonna resist corrosion. And again, I mentioned that the weight capacity on these springs is 3,500 pounds, but Hellwig springs do not actually increase your Sprinter's weight-carrying capacity.
So, you wanna make sure that you don't exceed the weight-carrying capacity of your Sprinter. And these do have a lifetime warranty from Hellwig. If I forget, if I forgot to mention it, instructions are included to guide you through the installation process. But I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Great Product
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
RV was soft in the rear. These where not so bad to install. And make a big differance in stance abd ride. I think they are a must have.
Great service, people are great to work with, they back every they sell.
I've used E-Trailer for years
Hard to review a product the day after it arrives sometimes. I did however mock the overloads up on the truck to make sure everything was going to fit. I need these to help with tongue weight on a bigger fifth wheel rv I tow. I like the fact that I can adjust preload tension. I also have timbrens under the truck but need to correct some sway under windy conditions. Time will tell.
The product is great and installed fairly easy. The only issue I had was the box was not secure upon arrival and we had to make two plates that were missing. The box needs to be heavier.
Customer service person Jill is a diamond in the rough, a consummate professional diservant of a pay raise. The Pro 35 helper springs exceeds my expectations.
etrailer customer support was great! Shipment to AK got damaged first time and they responded very quickly and sent me all the replacement parts I needed. The product is great and would definitely buy again if I swap out to a new truck!
The motorhome we own is famous for a droopy rear end, scraped bottom on any slope. We spent 2 months in Alaska including a trip to the Arctic Circle. The The Hellwig helper springs made a world of difference,no bottoming of the rear end.I have purchased a lot of products from etrailer and always found the to be; price competitive, good quality, fit accurate, in stock, fast shipping and provide before & after sales suppore.
