Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, headlight aim and handling suffer as well. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.

Air Lift's 1000 adjustable air springs have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. Air Lift 1000 is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.

Air Lift 1000 comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Air Lift is positive that you will benefit from their air spring suspension system - so much so that they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install and use Air Lift 1000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund.

Video Transcript for Review of Air Lift Vehicle Suspension - Air Helper Springs For Rear Coil Springs - AL42WQ

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at these Air Lift 1000 air helper springs for rear coil springs. Now this is a custom fit part that is designed to fit the 2022 and newer Ford Maverick all wheel drive models. To confirm that these are going to work for your vehicle, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com and input the year, make and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now hauling or towing heavy loads can cause the back of your Maverick to squat and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, your headlight aim, and your handling suffers as well.

To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs. These springs are made here in the USA of a durable, molded polyurethane, and they install inside of your vehicle's rear coil spring suspension. They're going to give you 1000 pounds of load leveling support to improve safety and ride quality on your Maverick. They will support your existing rear coil spring suspension when you're hauling or towing heavier loads, keeping it level. And they will improve steering and braking performance, helping to maintain your headlight aim.

And they will even reduce tire wear and suspension strain. Now, they are also going to diminish sway and absorb road shock and improve stability and ride quality. The air pressure in these springs have a range of five to 35 PSI. You do need to maintain at least five PSI in these springs. And you can manually adjust the air pressure to get even load distribution and support that you need.

And with the installation of dual airlines, you can inflate each spring independently for side to side leveling of any off-center loads. The manual inflation valves are typically mounted on your bumper so that they'll be easy to reach. For even more convenience and control, you could add a compressor engage system. Those items are sold separately, but they will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs. So this kit includes everything that you see here on my table before me.

You are going to get two air springs, gonna get one heat shield, you're gonna get airline tubing, the Schrader valves and all of the hardware for installation. You are going to get instructions and that will tell you how this operates and how it installs. And again, the load leveling capacity is up to a thousand pounds. However, it is important for me to note that these springs will not increase your vehicles weight carrying capacity. So you wanna make sure that you do not exceed your manufacturer's recommended weight limit. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Air bags are a bit of struggle to install inside of coil springs. Some of the included hardware items specifically the air tubing spring clamps are of poor quality so plan on upgrading these. All of mine broke due to very fragile design made from poor quality steel. Heat shield mounting hose clamps are far too large and leave long unsightly tails unless replaced with smaller size clamps. Inflation valve hardware was quite good. Installation completed in dual inflation valve mode for better control of individual spring pressure. The poly plastic air tubing appears to be the same as used for drip irrigation watering systems.

2022 Ford Maverick

They seem a little short. With the rubber bumper in, it still about 1 inch from touching the top part of the spring boot.
