Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the Pacer Performance Hi-Five Truck Cab Light Kit

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Pacer Performance Hi-Five Truck Cab Light Kit for your Ford Trucks. Now this is a custom fit part. It has designed the fit the 1999 to 2016 Ford F 250, F 350, F 450 and the F 550 trucks. Now basically these cab lights will give your truck the big red look and make it more visible on the road. They are styled after the (indistinct) Ford Factory Roof Clearance Lights and the set will include five clearance lights.

It includes the clearance lights with the gaskets when you install them. The five bulb connectors, I have one attached here. Also has the five incandescent bulbs are included, the toggle switch, has a length of red wire that is fused, has six quick splice connectors and then the mounting hardware for installation, even has a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. But basically these amber lenses will cover incandescent bulbs. You can see it has a nice black base to it and the bulbs themselves are replaceable, they use the standard 194 bulb type.

And as I mentioned this one, I put the bulb in the connector, installed it in here just to show you what the light would look like. So if we go ahead and turn some 12 volt power on, you can see the light lights up. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see for one of those lights up. Gives you a nice bright amber light. Turn our lights back on.

Oops, I'll go ahead and turn off our power. What's nice with the toggle switch that's included, this toggle switch makes it easy to control the lights from inside your cab. And again, it's a simple installation on the roof of your truck. In the instructions it will have a template that'll basically show you where to attach them and how to attach them on the roof of your cab. Now the light bases are designed to conform and seal to a flat or curved surface.

As we mentioned, it comes with the gaskets that you use and drilling is required. It is a universal fit. These do meet SAE specifications and just to give you an idea of the size on these lights, if we measure the length of them from the front to the very back is right at four inches. The width at the front, which is gonna be the widest point, it's gonna be right at about three inches wide. And then the height of them, if we go from the bottom to the very top highest point, is gonna be right about one in three quarter inches tall.
