Cool-colored light, especially that with a high color temperature, promotes driver alertness, as opposed to warm-colored light, which promotes relaxation. Color temperature is based on chromaticity, which refers to the quality of a color rather than its luminance. In short, Putco's halogen bulbs incorporate bright light with high-quality color so that not only can you see the world around you, but you can be truly aware of it.

Today on our 2007 Dodge Durango, we're going to be installing the Putco Pure Performance H13 halogen headlight bulbs in a double white, part number P230013DW. Now, before we begin our installation of the new bulbs, we're going to show you what the old bulbs look like so we can do a comparison later. As you could see here, this vehicle actually has one burned out headlight bulb and the other one is not very bright. To begin our installation, we're going to first need to raise the hood of the vehicle. With the hood of the vehicle raised, we're going to go ahead and begin over here on the driver side. We'll need to remove this bolt here as well as right here. To do that, we'll simply use a 10 millimeter socket.
Next we've gone ahead and turned the wheels here on the vehicle to give us a little more access because we're going to need to open up this panel here and remove one more nut that's behind the headlight assembly. Go ahead and just take a flat blade screwdriver and open up the panel. Then right up in here, there is one nut that you'll need to remove. Next, we'll go ahead and pull our headlight assembly out. We'll need to unplug the light connections. We'll need to remove or slide this locking tab back so that we can undo it.
Squeezing in on the tab will release it. To remove the bulb, we'll simply twist and slide the bulb out. Now that we have the factory headlight out, we're ready to install the new Putco Headlight. Go ahead and take our light assembly. Go ahead and take our light bulb. Line it up in the back side of the headlight assembly.
Twist it to lock it in place. You'll want to the locking tab on the top side so that lines up with the wiring. Then put our connector back on, making sure you hear it clicking to position. Put the red locking tab back in and you're ready to reinstall the headlight assembly. With all the hardware tighten down, we can go ahead and close our access panel back up. Now that we have the driver's side installed, we still have the original headlight installed on the passenger side.
Now, let's go ahead and give you a comparison. We'll turn the lights back on so we can see the difference between the new light and the old light. You could see here with our headlights turned back on, you can see how much whiter the light installed on the left hand side is or on the driver side compared to the light that was already in this vehicle. The new one is much whiter while the other one has more of a yellowish brown tint to it. Now, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process over on the passenger side. Now that we've got the second headlight installed, we'll go ahead and turn our headlights on again and show you what it looks like with both new Putco headlights in the vehicle. You notice how much whiter the lights are compared to before. Now, we'll go ahead and turn the high beams on to show you that as well. That will do it for the installation of the Putco Pure High Performance H13 halogen headlight bulbs, part number P230013DW on our 2007 Dodge Durango. .
Not really bright hard to see unless its pitch black
They look awesome on the truck, great p roduct
They didn't last 6 months and it's not all bad because I couldn't see crap with these dull a** things. Put in another brand and love em. Don't waste your money on these.
I like the blue head lights. I got for my 2007 ford f-250
Great product, fast shipping will do buisness with again
I'm very happy with this product really like the clearer more Natural white light with a slightly blueish tint it gives off, also was glad it arrived within the timeframe given.
Good lighting. Much better than the OEM bulbs. The tabs on either side are weak. One tab on each bulb broke off when I was trying to tighten them in the housing. I would suggest lightly assisting with channel lock pliers when installing.
Pretty Cool . . . but . . . the high beam quit on one bulb in 15 months . . . took a while to adjust to new lights - road signs looked as if they were glowing.
I took this pic with my phone as you can see but if you look close you can see the woods past my drive way let me tell you it says pureit meens pure the light is clear bright and makes everything clear they should start making cars with these lights as factory lights and the purple tint is way cool looking I love theses lights almost more then my WIFE!!!!!!!
