MIchael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Putco work blade LED tailgate light bar. This is a 57 3/4 inch long light bar, so it's just shy of five feet. It's going to give you both amber and white LEDs. It is designed for your full sized trucks, especially those involved in construction work, or DOT, or other kinds of fleet vehicles.

It's going to increase your visibility when you're out on the work site, so it's going to make your work vehicle more visible and safe. You can type in your year, make, and model of your vehicle and we will have a fit guide to assist you in determining if this is going to work for your vehicle or not.This does have a ten strobe pattern, so we've got 10 different options of our strobe lights. We can control those with the wireless remote here. This is going to both control our pattern.

We've got the up and down pattern side here and our speed.When I turn this on, you can see our first pattern, which is going to be our flashing simultaneous left white and right amber pattern. If I speed up, you can see how those LEDs start flashing faster. Bring that speed back down. We get back to that slower speed. And then, I'll switch between the patterns.Go to our next pattern, which is going to be our left amber and our right wight that are flashing simultaneously.

And then, our next pattern is our alternating left white and right amber. Our next pattern is our left amber and right white alternating pattern. Then, we've got our alternating full amber and full white pattern. Then, we have our simultaneous left white and right amber. And then, our left amber and right white simultaneous pattern.

Then, our alternating simultaneous half white half amber switching back and forth there. We've got our full amber bar flashing. Our full white bar flashing. Those are our 10 of our stroke patterns. Then, we also have our solid white and our solid amber. You're going to have lots of different options to make sure that this is going to catch people's attention, make sure they're aware of your vehicle and keep you safe.These LEDs do have the chip on board technology. That's going to create that bright solid panel of wight, so all those LEDs are mounted really close together to create that uniform, high-intensity, light similar to a light panel. It can be very attention getting. We do have a sealed lens here and housing that's going to be waterproof. It's got a IF rating of 69K, so it's going to stand up to some pretty severe environmental conditions and cleaning methods, so very heavy duty. Our tinted polycarbonate housing here is going to provide a nice sleek look. I already told you that this is 57 3/4 of an inch long. It is going to be right about 3/4 of an inch tall and 3/8 of an inch deep. Make sure that it's going to fit on your truck.It's going to be very easy to get this installed. We've got our mounting brackets here and some 3M tape to get them mounted in place. You can also use a number 10 nut and bolt. Our brackets do have a hole there that you could pass that bolt through if you we're wanting to put holes in your vehicle to make a more secure connection. But I think this 3M is pretty standard for a lot of your automotive grade installations, so it's going to work well for you. Our wiring harness does feature 16 gauge wires that connect to your vehicle's existing light wiring. We are going to have a option to have a hardwire reverse function. No matter what pattern we have on here, if we we're to kick it into reverse, that back up white light is going to come on. So, switch patterns here so it'll be a little bit more noticeable there. If we go into our reverse mode, that bright white light comes on, so everyone knows where reversing. Very clear and safe.This does come with a three year limited warranty from Putco. It's nice to know they stand behind their product. If we have any problems, we can give them a call within those first three years and they will help us out with that. Overall, I think this is going to be a great option for you. I like all the different variety of strobe patterns that they give you, and it's very bright. I don't want to turn the lights off because it almost becomes overwhelming, but it is a very bright bar as you can probably see, even with my studio lights on. I think it's going to be a good option for those of you who have work vehicles that you're wanting to try and make people aware of as you're out in the work environment.
