These custom fit tie-downs give you the safest and most comfortable ride when hauling a camper. They mount to the frame of your pickup - no drilling required! With the arms removed, the brackets can barely be seen. Made of rustproof aluminum.
Features:
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these Torklift Talon custom rear camper tie downs. These tie downs are going to provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed, so that you can secure your truck's turn buckles. The front tie downs are sold separately, but you will need those so that you can tie down your camper at all four corners. These are a custom fit, so they are going to fit many different 2011 through 2014 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500's. We do break it down a lot more in detail on our site, so I would encourage you to use the vehicle fit guide so that you can ensure that this is gonna work for your package and specifications.
So, the way this works, these frame-mounted brackets here are going to mount onto your truck's frame. So, they are gonna sit nice and tight to the frame, so you're not gonna lose any ground clearance. This is also going to help ensure excellent handling, securing your camper to the truck's base instead of up on the bed, is going to better distribute the weight of your camper to help keep the setup from being too top heavy. The instructions are very detailed, they'll walk you through that installation process. They do include all the hardware that you're gonna need to get these installed.
And so, these are going to stay on your vehicle, and then we're going to have these corrosion-resistant, aluminum alloy tie down inserts that will secure right in place here. So, they include these caps so that you can cover those when you're not using them, but then when you're ready to hook up to your trailer, you just slide them in like so. You can see there are two holes here, so that will accommodate different widths of campers. So, if you've got a more narrow camper, you can use that shorter hole there, or if she's got a wider camper, we can use that outer hole and just get it lined up and then pass that pin through, and that will give you a nice solid connection there so that you can get your turn buckles mounted basically straight to the frame. And then when you're not towing, you can very easily remove those.
Like I said, they do include these rubber caps here to help cover that receiver tube opening, so you don't have to worry about dirt and debris and that sorta thing getting in there. But having those be removable is going to make these virtually invisible. You're not gonna be able to see them once you have these arms removed, so virtually undetectable, it's not gonna have a bracket that's permanently visible on your truck taking away from that factory look, like some other options out there. And this is gonna be a really nice system to make sure that you're still having that clean look on your truck when you're not towing your camper. These do have a high impact powder coat finish that's gonna add an extra layer of protection, prevent rust and corrosion and that sorta thing, which is obviously gonna be important as this is mounted up under your frame, so having that's really nice.
So, this system is going to be a really great option if you are wanting to take your truck bed camper down the road, you're looking for a way to get it attached, this is going to be very stable, it's gonna be very easy to install and remove, so that you have that nice clean factory look. So, overall, a really nice option here. It's made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. And they also come with a lifetime warranty so if you we're to have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com So, that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
