This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com Folks, today we're looking at our Triangle ST235/80R16 Heavy-Duty Radial Tire with a nice 16 x 6-inch gunmetal aluminum wheel with an 8 on 6 1/2-inch lug pattern, and it's a load range G. Now, folks, this tire and wheel assembly is gonna be great for your stock trailers, utility trailers, campers, those kind of things. It is designed for trailer use only and not intended for other vehicles. Now starting with the wheel here, it's a nice AM03 series gunmetal aluminum wheel, and it's durable, lightweight, and rust proof. I do like the open-spoke design. It's very unique and appealing.
And they've clear coat the finish on the front and the backside, which a lot of brands out there don't coat the backside, 'cause they figure no one will ever see it. But this guy, they went ahead and did both the front and the back. So that's a nice little touch. It's gonna protect it from scuffs and scratches on your wheel for a long, long time. The other thing to mention is they've put steel wheel inserts into the lug holes there, and that's gonna help keep that wheel securely in place on the trailer hub itself, and also prevent those holes from wearing down over time.
So this is unique in that it can take a 1/2 inch x 20 thread wheel bolt or a 9/16 x 18 thread wheel bolt size. Now that's also gonna help you to not have to constantly retighten those lug nuts as well. So nice feature. Now getting into the tire itself, the tire is a ST, or a special trailer design, and that couples the strength of a bias ply tire and the durability and stability of your radial tire. It has been created specifically for trailers, like I mentioned before, so don't use it on any other vehicles except for trailers, campers, those kind of things.
It's got all steel belts inside that's gonna enhance the durability and extend the tread life. And this tread is a computer-generated tread design, and the premium rubber compound on the tread itself is gonna offer superior traction in both wet and dry conditions. Now this whole assembly meets all DOT specifications for wheels and tires. Once again, it's a 16 x 6-inch wide wheel. The bolt pattern is an eight lug, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, by 6 1/2.
So we're getting that 6 1/2 on even-number wheel studs like we have here, you're gonna measure center of that stud directly across to the center of another one, and you're gonna get that 6 1/2 inch. The wheel pilot hole here is a 4.9 inch. The wheel capacity is 4,400 pounds by itself, and the tire capacity has a max load of 4,080 pounds at 110 PSI. The maximum speed is 75 miles per hour, so it's a speed range L. Make sure you're always obeying the speed limit laws of your state and area. And the overall diameter is 30 7/8, and the section width is 9 1/4 inches. So, folks, just a nice tire and wheel combination here by the Triangle Company. Very nice design, very nice wheel. Again, it's got a nice gunmetal finish. We also offer this with a black finish mixed with the gunmetal, and there's some other different options as well. So if this isn't your color, check out some other options here at etrailer.com. That's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
