This small round light packs a lot of brightness into a low-power setup. With just 0.03 amps of draw at 12.8V, the 2 amber LEDs make a big difference in visibility while keeping energy use low. The LEDs are built to last about 50 times longer than standard bulbs, so you get consistent light without worrying about replacements or fragile filaments.
If your trailer sees rain, puddles, or even full submersion, this light can handle it. The housing and clear lens are sonically sealed into one waterproof unit that keeps moisture out and shields the diodes from corrosion or shorting. That means reliable performance whether you’re driving through storms or backing down the ramp.
Mounting is simple and secure with its surface-mount design. You only need small holes for the wiring, and the housing lays flat against the surface for a clean look. The light connects through a 2-wire pigtail with 0.180 male bullets, so wiring it into your existing system is straightforward and tidy.
The lens and housing are made from tough polycarbonate that stands up to vibration, road debris, and sun exposure. At 1-11/16" in diameter and 3/4" deep, it’s compact but solid—built to hold up over time without cracking or fading.
Rated P2 for a 90-degree beam spread, this light gives bright coverage straight on without bleeding too far to the sides. That makes it ideal as either a clearance or side marker light when you want focused visibility right where it counts. DOT compliance ensures it meets lighting standards wherever you travel.

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff from etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this M3 LED submersible clearance or side marker trailer light with the clear lens. Now this is a round trailer light, which will serve as either a side marker or clearance light. It is a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which makes it submersible. And it does use LEDs, which will make great replacements for incandescent lights, it'll last 50 times longer and they're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output.
And of course there's no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break, and they do have a limited lifetime warranty on the LEDs. The housing is a durable polycarbonate lens and housing. Has the two amber diodes and the clear lens and this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. At the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright it is.This is designed to Mount on the surface of the trailer. Now the hardware to mount it is not included, and we do offer an available chrome bezel that provides a nice finished look of the light.
Those we do sell separately on our website, and it's usually listed on this product page as a related product. You can see it uses a two wire pigtail with the male bullet connectors, and you can see they're both yellow wires so it doesn't matter if one's positive, one's negative, you can hook it up either way. It is a P2 rated light produces a 90 degree beam pattern, and it is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant.Few specs on the slight, go ahead and get our ruler out. The diameter is going to be right at one and 11 sixteenths inches. The depth of it, right at three quarters of an inch deep, the mounting hole dimensions, in other words, there's two mounting holes.
One here, one there, the distance between the mounting holes center to center is one and three quarter inches. And the power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.03 amps. So I'm going to go ahead and take our 12 volt power and as I mentioned, it doesn't matter which one's ground or which one's power. Hook it up either way. Got those hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power and then you can see there's the bright two amber LEDs lit up.
I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see how bright it is. As I mentioned it's a P2 rated light, so it does produce a 90 degree beam pattern. Then turn back on overhead light and we'll go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this M3 Led submersible clearance or side marker trailer light with the clear lens.
