Shuddering brakes, trailer sway, or grinding under load? Worn drums and bearings put safety at risk. An ABS-ready hub built for Dexter's Tow Assist restores smooth braking, steady tracking, and the peace of mind to tow without second-guessing.
You know that split second when traffic ahead suddenly stops and you're forced to slam on your brakes? You glance in the rearview mirror hoping your trailer is stopping, not swaying, skidding, or jackknifing. That's when Dexter's ABS Tow Assist earns its keep and this hub and drum are part of that system. Inside this replacement assembly, a tone ring constantly feeds data to your existing sensor and to the ABS Tow Assist brain, helping prevent wheel lockup and keeping your trailer tracking straight. It helps give you the control and stability you count on under pressure.
A quick glance is all it takes to know your hub is ready for the road. The clear oil cap lets you spot issues early, so you can hit mountain passes and highway speeds knowing your rig is prepared.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
Figuring out your bolt pattern is easier than it sounds. The first number tells you how many bolt holes you have, and the second is the diameter of the circle they sit on.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. For example, 8 on 6-1/2" means there are 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. For example, 5 on 4-1/2" means there are 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

And just to show you, go over the bearings and everything else that you're gonna be get that you're gonna be getting here, you're gonna be getting the outer bearing here and it is gonna be 14125A. And typically those are etched right on the, the circumference of the bearing.
Obviously that's going to pop right into here. And then on that inner bearing, this is going to be 25580. And then you're going to get the oil seal that you see here and then the oil cap with plug and O-ring and lug nuts that I've already got loosely put on the wheel bolts there. And as I mentioned, the races are already pressed in, they're already pre-installed. The pattern is eight on six and a half inches.
And I don't know if I've already mentioned that the, obviously the lug nuts are included and the wheel stud size is gonna be five eighths of an inch.
