I’ve purchased Convert-A-Ball Hitch balls before and as before I am very impressed with the quality of the product. The only reason I purchased another pair is because I lost the 2” ball while moving. Thanks again for your service.

The hitch mount and ball look to be of high quality and exactly what I needed for my bumber mount. Being able to easily switch between ball sizes will save work and wear on both the hitch and vehicle . I will be using it this weekend.

I want to comment on the service and responsiveness of This is part of my second order in two weeks and the ordering, shipping and company interest in customers is outstanding.

I was also pleased to learn that selld RV/Motorhome parts. I will be back. Please keep up your high quality service.

Well made and well priced

Arrived quickly, but was missing the cotter pin, so I ended up buying a stainless steel cotter pin at the local home hardware store.

Have used these before and am well satisfied with the product. On the trailer end of the process, delighted with the selection of products- was able to get the 3/4" shank size ball hitch with no hassle. Other sources would have only the larger size shank. Service was excellent and fast shipping. Definitely going back for other products.

Doug S.

still doing a great job with the different trailers we have and the different ball sizes, makes it easy to hook up to.

Love the covert a ball ball set! Bought a duck boat with different ball size than my jon boat. Only takes a few seconds to pop one ball off and put the other size on. Hit it with some WD40 now and again.

Love the ball set. Have two boat trailers with different size hitches. Easy to pop one ball off and put on the other. Great product!

I had a earlier Chrome version. It used a 1" shank, hence the need for replacement. I chose stainless because the added cost will save time and trouble should the new nickel-plated version not last. These are the most secure convertibles, for the design is impervious to dislodgment (the worst that could happen is the pin riding against a coupling should it move, without allowing the trailer to disengage from the hitch). Two considerations: it would be nice to inform the customer that the attaching nut requires a 1 1/8" socket, and it would be better to machine a recess on the base to permit use of a wrench to hold it when the unit is being secured (as it requires 180 ft lbs to attach. Overall a superb product.

Great product if you get the stainless steel model. I have been using this product for around 30 years. The first one I had only lasted 10 years as I was not paying enough attention to is the ball got rusted to the shaft and I never got it off. The second one I got was stainless steel and it has been working as well today as 20 years when I bought. This one I bought for my trailer dolly as all the trailers I hook the dolly up to are not the same ball size

Use these balls on my ATV to pull trailers, wood chipper, leaf vac, etc around our property. Wonderful to just swap the balls with a pin rather than having to un-bolt and re-bolt another ball.

The convert-a-ball set and the storage container came promptly and well packed. This is not my first purchase from etrailers, their prices and product always impress me. I can't find a better price nor a better selection locally, even if I go all over town looking.
The main shank where the ball goes on needed a little cleaning where the pin goes through. The hole was left kind of rough on the inside. I cleaned it up a little without changing the size of the hole, just for piece of mind. I wasn't sure of what the rough edges and small fragments of metal would have on the pin during use, outside of that, I was impressed with the product and look forward to using it.

Wiring Harness, Hitch ball and lock all excellent and good quality. Installation was flawless. Will recommend to anyone looking for good value and timely response with questions about delivery and product.

I have used Convert-A-Ball products for years and they are the best.
Very high quality, terrific convenience as I pull various trailers with different size hitches - would recommend them to anyone.
And, they are Made in the U. S. of A. - something very important to me.

Ordered this for my husband. He has to change the size of the hitch ball often between the boat trailer and the lawn tractor trailer. Works great and makes life a little simpler!

This works perfectly with my hand trailer hauler to move boats and flat trailers

Great option for the smaller car hitch kits and saves space in the trunk! Great quality products.

Had the steel version for years and ordered this one for my car because the older Convert-A-Ball was a 1" shank. Sold that vehicle but kept the Ball set. This new one being stainless will look good for years on the car!

This was exactly what I was looking for to put on my ATV. Super fast shipping as well.

Product was just what I was looking for and the service from etrailer was the best.
would give them the best rating possible

etrailer is the best!

This is the second Convert-A-Ball set that I have purchased, to use with my wife's new SUV. It is handy to be able to switch between 1-7/8 and 2-inch balls without having to wrench off one ball to put on another, and it takes up far less room than having a drawbar for each size ball. This model has only a 3/4-inch shank and cannot mount a 2-5/8-inch ball for safety reasons. My wife's Subaru Forester has a roughly 2250lb tow limit, so not having the big ball is not an issue.

Both this unit and the one I obtained previously from eTrailer were the stainless steel versions. As we live in the northeast, road salt and salt water do take their toll.

This system is easy to use and saves a lot of space - I highly recommend it for anyone who uses a drop- or riser-type drawbar, or (in the case of my station wagon) a weight-distributing hitch, as it greatly increases your flexibility for towing different trailers at need. the balls swap quickly and fairly effortlessly. I find it worth the investment!

I have used it many time on local and many highway trips and very satisfied.

Bought the Convert-A-Ball set - only place I could find that had a decent price on the 3/4 shank SS bal - fits and works like advertised.

Product arrived well packaged and installs and operates as represented. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up over time.

Works as expected.

Looks great with the brushed finish.
the job.

  • Stainless Steel Convert a Ball Set with 1-7/8 inch and 2 inch Ball
We used to carry that part number but it was discontinued, now we have the part # 802B which is a stainless steel ball set that has the two sizes of 1-7/8 inch and 2 inch like you need and also fits the same 3/4 inch ball mount hole.

  • Interchangeable Ball Set Recommendation for a 1-1/4 inch Hitch Ball Mount
Sounds like you are looking for a interchangeable ball set like the part # 802b for a 1-1/4 inch ball mount like the part # 3593. You should note that this option is only for Class II hitches. There are no Class I options.

  • Recommendations for an Interchangeable Ball Set with 1-7/8 Inch and 2 Inch Balls
The first thing you will want to look at is the diameter of the ball hole in the ball mount you use. Some of the interchangeable ball sets we carry that have a 1-7/8 inch ball will fit a 3/4 inch diameter hole and some fit a 1 inch diameter hole. If you have a 3/4 inch diameter hole I recommend kit # 802b because of the stainless steel construction. It won't corrode or wear away like chrome. If you have a 1 inch diameter ball hole then I recommend # 902B for the same reason; stainless...

  • Availability of Replacement Shank for Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Trailer Ball System
We do indeed offer replacement shanks for the Convert-A-Ball interchangeable trailer ball system. For a shank with a 3/4 inch diameter shaft, the # 104B with a 5000 lb capacity or the # 101B with a 3500 lb capacity is available. Neither shank is compatible with a 2-5/16 inch ball, as the weight capacity of either shaft is insufficient for a trailer that would use a 2-5/16 inch ball.

  • How To Get VIN For 8 X 20 Trailer
It sounds like you have done the things necessary to get the VIN for your 8 X 20 trailer. Normally the VIN is located inside one of the frame rails near the front of the trailer. I recommend taking the paperwork to the local state license office and ask what is needed. They may have you take the trailer to a highway patrol facility so it can be inspected and assigned a new VIN.

As long as the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your camper plus the weight of your bikes remains under 350 lbs, then you will have no problem towing your pop up camper with the Swagman Original Towing Bike Rack, # S64675. I have attached an FAQ on how to determine your tongue weight for you to check out. This bike rack does not include a hitch ball, if you need a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball, then I recommend using the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set, # 802B. If you only need...

  • Shank Lengths of Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Trailer Ball Sets
The Convert-A-Ball trailer ball sets are available with shanks that are 1-3/4 inches in length, like part # 802B, 2-1/4 inch shank like part # 900B or with a 3 inch shank length, like part # 105TB. The shank length refers to the length of the shank portion that passes through the ball mount. The longer shank lengths are provided to fit thicker ball mounts. Generally speaking, the balls with the longer and greater diameter shanks have a higher weight capacity.

  • Interchangeable Hitch Ball Recommendation For 2001 Keystone Camplite Pop-Up Camper
You will want to make sure you have the correct hitch ball mounted for your 2001 Keystone Camper. even though a 1-7/8 inch ball will fit, it can become a major safety issue if the coupler is designed for a larger hitch ball. One big bump and the coupler could jump off the smaller ball. If you are unable to determine the ball size you have a couple of options. You will want to measure the hole on the ball mount that the hitch ball shank uses. I imagine it is 3/4 inch, but some ball mounts...
