With its black Cerakote finish, rocks and road debris can't chip or ding this hitch, so rust doesn't stand a chance. Plus, it comes with a chrome-plated double-sided tow ball, so switching sizes is a breeze. Flip it around to stow it.

Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a chrome-plated 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.
This ball mount's convenient stowable design keeps the ball mount platform out of your way when you're not towing. To stow the ball mount platform, simply pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank. Place the ball mount platform on the backside of the shank facing your vehicle. Reinsert the dual pins to attach the platform to the shank. The 180 Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two-ball mount for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your 2 1/2 trailer hitch receiver, and it's going to give you a 2 inch and a 2 5/16 inch double-sided chrome-plated steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy so you can tow different types of trailers, whether it's a small utility trailer, an RV, or a camper or a boat trailer. This dual functionality is going to eliminate the need for you to have multiple hitches. And then when you have the shank in this orientation, this is going to give you a maximum drop of 6 inches and then when you flip this over, a maximum rise of 7 inches with an incremental height adjustment of 1 inch.
So this is going to give you the height adjustment that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. So when towing with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, this is going to give you a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds, with the 2 inch ball, 8,000 pounds. And then this unit has a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. And taking a closer look here, this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum. This is gonna give you superior strength and durability.
And this features this great black Cerakote finish. It's a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your vehicle, but if you tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to help protect the hitch, keeping it looking great and working properly for years to come. Now, this also features a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very easy. So let me go ahead and give you a brief demonstration of that.
I'm gonna take one of the keys here, insert it into the lock, and then turn it. And then that's going to allow me to easily remove our lock here. Now if you notice, I'm gonna turn that key back to the lock position and remove the key and set it aside. While I have this lock out, I wanted to point out that our pins here are aluminum, the housing is aluminum, and then our lock is plated steel. So this is very durable and it's gonna do a great job of resisting corrosion.
But if you notice just how easily the ball platform here is going to slide up and down this shank. So you're not gonna be struggling with this at all. And then I also wanted to show you that this is stowable. So if you're not gonna be doing any towing and you want this ball platform out of your way, you simply just rotate this ball platform and tuck it in behind, or underneath the shank rather. You'll obviously line up the holes and replace slider lock, But if you notice when you walk behind your truck, you're not gonna have to worry about accidentally banging up your shins. So that's a great feature that this offers you. But I'm gonna go ahead, I swap this to my 2 inch ball and I'm just gonna go ahead and place that back on the shank. I'm gonna turn this around so you can see and replace my slider lock. Now if you notice, I don't have the key in here. It is back in the locked position. I'm gonna line up the holes here. And then if you notice, that's just going to lock back into place, just like that, we're secure. And then I'll replace this included rubber cap here just to protect that keyway. And then we're good to go. So you're not going to be at the back of your truck, struggling to get the tow ball size that you need or the height adjustment that you need. Another added benefit, which I really like, that is included with this is our hitch pin lock. And it does have a cap here to protect the keyway. You are going to get four keys here. Everything's keyed alike. So one key is going to operate the dual pin slider lock and the same key will operate our hitch pin lock. And it's really very similar here. I'm just gonna go ahead and turn that back to the lock position, remove the key, close the cap. And then when you're ready to secure this, you don't need the key in there, you're just gonna push it firmly together and then you'll be good to go. So this is gonna be very easy to use. And something else that I wanted to give you is some measurements in case you we inchesre wondering about the size and about the clearance that you're gonna have. So measuring from the center of the first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, we're sitting about 8 1/2 inches. When I move to the center of the second hitch pin hole, it's gonna be 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. This is SAE J684 certified and VESC regulation V-5 compliant. And this is gonna be a great option to consider, especially if you're looking for what I would consider to be maximum theft deterrent. Your ball platform is going to be secured to the shank and then your shank is gonna be secured to the back of your vehicle. If you're looking for a hitch that's going to be a great long-term investment that's gonna give you a lot of flexibility, it's gonna provide safety for you. It's obviously gonna be very durable and as we saw, very easy to operate, this is really gonna be an excellent option for you to consider. Well, that's gonna wrap up for our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
I recently used the Weigh Safe Cerakote Coated 180 Hitch with a 6" drop on a 1,300-mile trip, and it was fantastic. It handled everything—road grime, snow, salt, and mud—without ever looking dull or dingy.
The dual-ball design makes switching between trailers super easy, and the adjustable drop works perfectly to keep everything level. It was simple to install and felt solid and secure the whole trip. The locking pins kept everything safely attached to my truck, no worries about someone walking away with it. If you need a tough, reliable hitch that looks great and gets the job done, this one’s a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
