This setup gives you solid, fixed attachment points for your tow bar. The Roadmaster crossbar-style base plate kit uses a fixed-bar design where the front arms do not remove, giving you a strong, permanent connection between your vehicle and your towing setup. It’s compatible with Roadmaster tow bars when used with the quick-disconnect crossbar part #910021-00 (sold separately), creating a dependable link that’s built for long-distance flat towing.
The base plate brackets are made from all-steel and computer-cut for precision. This ensures exceptional strength and alignment once bolted in place. The black powder coat finish adds durability and corrosion resistance so the brackets stay in good shape through miles of road grime, rain, and towing stress.
Everything you need to mount the base plates comes in the box, from instructions to installation hardware. It’s been great. I only use it to tow my huntn’ rig and never a problem. I’m 87 now and can load and unload by myself.

Install completed and many miles of care free towing behind our motorhome. Fixes suggested made for a simple install. Should be incorporated in future kits. I wont charge for the redesign. :+~ I spent my working life as a mechanical designer builder for a major industrial equipment company.

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and he said, as this kit is for vehicles 30 plus years old, it does not fit the new systems, verbiage, and formats that are currently used in installations. With this vehicle being an uncommonly flat towed vehicle as well, they are limited to the one vehicle that came into their shop, which was being the model to design the installation instructions. This can lead to little things not being detailed in the instructions.
