When you need to keep tools, groceries, or gear out of sight, this retractable aluminum cover locks down tight. The pop-up locking handle secures at any point along the rails, so you can leave part of the bed open for long items while keeping the rest covered. Once closed and latched, the 1" thick aluminum slats and the overlapping tailgate edge make it tough for anyone to get inside. The lock is hidden under a flat lid to block dirt and moisture, so it keeps working smoothly in bad weather.
Getting into your truck bed shouldn’t take a fight with snaps or straps. This cover glides open and closed on sealed ball-bearing rollers that never need lubrication. It rolls evenly every time without binding or catching, and you can move it with one hand using the pop-up handle. When you’re done, it retracts neatly into a compact canister that takes up minimal space, leaving room underneath for smaller gear.
Rain, snow, and road dust stay out thanks to the weather stripping and foam seals on all sides. The 1" thick aluminum panels resist dents and impacts, and the matte black finish won’t fade or scratch easily. Two drain tubes route water out of the canister to keep it dry inside. The whole system is designed to handle up to 500 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so snow loads or gear on top aren’t a problem.
A tonneau cover doesn’t have to stick out to do its job. The side rails rise just 1" above the bed for a clean, low-profile appearance that follows the truck’s lines. The flush-mounted handle and smooth top panel give it a finished look, and the canister’s angled bottom leaves more usable space in the bed. It’s easy to see why this cover is a favorite for keeping cargo safe without sacrificing style.
You don’t need to drill or modify anything to mount this cover. The rails clamp directly onto the bed rails and square up with simple bolt-on clamps. The canister arrives with the cover preinstalled—just attach, align, and secure. Drain tubes hook up to existing holes in the bed floor, finishing off a clean, factory-style install that’s ready for everyday use.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the RetraxPro MX Hard Tonneau Cover in matte black. You can upgrade your old tonneau cover and not have to worry about any snapping or hook and loop connections. The RetraxPro MX Hard Tonneau Cover is the best way to cover up your truck bed. One of it's great features is, it can be locked anywhere along the rails you please. When used with the locking tailgate, it's furthers your security. The whole thing is UV protected and it features a limited lifetime warranty. After about a year owning this cover, I still would buy it again. If you set it up right in the first place, it will work flawlessly. The locking mechanism still works great. The rolling part still works great. Aside from a solid cover, this is the most secure cover I have ever had. It does get some drips of water inside after washing the truck but its not enough to worry about, even if you had a bed full of stuff.

So on the plus side, love how it opens all the way up. When were loading the bed for travel, I need it fully open. Downside is the amount of room the canister takes up and the water as previously mentioned. Still quite easy to use!
