With the E-Series, you don’t have to remove the whole cover when you need to load up bigger gear. The tri-fold design lets you lift the rear panel for quick access or fold back two sections to open up two-thirds of the bed. When you’re done, just unfold it back into place and secure it—no parts to store or reattach later.
You don’t need tools or extra hardware to get this cover on. The attachment hardware is built right in, and the spring-loaded tailgate clamps snap down tight without bolts or drilling. That means you can install or remove the E-Series in just minutes, leaving no rails behind once it’s off.
Rain, dust, and road spray are kept out by a full perimeter rubber seal that runs the entire edge of the cover. The vinyl top sits snug over a lightweight aluminum frame, creating a tight fit that sheds water instead of letting it pool. Your bed stays clean and dry even when the weather turns rough.
The combination of a durable vinyl grain top and a reinforced aluminum frame gives this cover strength without adding bulk. Heavy-duty support bows span the width of the bed to keep the surface firm and well-tensioned, so it won’t sag or flap while driving.
Because it sits on top of the bed rails, the E-Series keeps a smooth, low-profile line that complements the truck’s shape. That streamlined design reduces air drag, helping improve gas mileage while keeping the truck looking sharp.

2 years in the cover still looks and fits great. No visable signs of wear. Great product.

That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
