When you need to grab something fast, you shouldn’t have to unroll or undo a bunch of parts. The Extang E-Series uses a tri-fold design that lets you lift the rear panel at the tailgate for quick access, or fold up two sections to open two-thirds of the bed. You can even drive with it fully open or fully closed, depending on what you’re hauling.
Rain, dust, and road spray don’t stand a chance thanks to the full perimeter rubber seal that lines the cover. It keeps water from creeping into the bed, so your tools, camping gear, or groceries stay dry and clean no matter the weather.
The E-Series pairs a durable vinyl grain top with a lightweight aluminum frame and Extang’s heavy-duty support bows. That combination adds strength across the width of the bed while keeping the cover easy to lift, fold, or remove when you need the extra space.
You don’t need tools or loose hardware to get this cover mounted right. The spring-loaded tailgate clamps are built into the cover, so there’s nothing to install or lose. That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
