When you need to grab tools or gear fast, the Extang E-Series makes it easy. The tri-fold layout lets you lift the rear panel at the tailgate for smaller items, or fold two sections forward to free up two-thirds of your bed for larger loads. You can drive with it fully closed or completely open, and when you need even more room, the entire cover removes in minutes without leaving rails behind.
Keeping cargo dry is always a concern, especially through rain or snow. The E-Series uses a full perimeter rubber seal that blocks water from entering the bed. The tight fit around every edge helps prevent leaks and shields your gear from dust and road grime, so you can count on reliable protection in changing weather.
Some covers sag or flex over time, but this one stays solid thanks to its lightweight aluminum frame and heavy-duty support bows that span the bed’s width. The durable vinyl top adds a clean, standard-profile look while resisting wear from sun and road exposure. Together, they keep the cover firm and secure without adding unnecessary weight.
Setting up or removing the E-Series doesn’t require any tools or drilling. The built-in spring-loaded tailgate clamps stay attached to the cover, so there’s nothing to lose or misplace. That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
