How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the NOCO AIR15 Portable Air Compressor. Now, this guy's gonna come in handy as far as being compact and lightweight while having a lot of power to inflate everything you need on your vehicle, be it your wheels or any of your fun-time accessories. So, let's take a closer look at it and see what it does for us. The AIR15 is constructed a powder-coated aluminum, so it's going to make it lightweight and corrosion-resistant. It is actually a completely sealed system. It has an IP55 rating, so that means it can get wet.
So, if you're in icy, snowy, rainy conditions and you need to air up something, this guy can definitely get wet, just not submerged. And if you're in dusty environments like the desert or just somewhere where it's really dusty and a lot of debris is in the air, it's actually sealed against particles as well. In general, this is gonna work out because it fits very compact in your vehicle and it's gonna give you a nice, long power cord. Your 12 volt is gonna be 10 feet long, and it plugs into your cigarette lighter. You actually have an inline fuse to help protect your electrical system, and as far as your nozzle here, you actually have a three foot abrasion-resistant hose that actually has brass fittings on the inside.
On the bottom you have a holder for your inflatables here, and you also have an adapter for your Presta fittings for your bike or your tubeless bike setups, as well as your inflation needle for footballs, basketballs, any sports ball. Now that we're plugged into our 12-volt outlet, you can see our 10-foot cord gives us plenty of room to reach all sides of the vehicle. You might wanna pass it out on the passenger side to get the other side, but plenty of length to get all the way to the back. So, on the inside of our door jam, our PSI ratings right at 35 psi per tire. With it being 20 degrees here in Missouri at etrailer.com, we're losing a little bit of pressure.
So, we're down at 31.5, so we can actually set this to go up to where we would like it to be. Lemme change my angle here, and we're gonna set it up to 35. One of the cool things about this is it has an automatic shutoff so you can just set it and forget it. You don't have to worry about it overrunning or overfilling. And now we're just gonna press our Power button and let it make the adjustments.
(pump whirring) And you can see here it goes a little bit over and it makes the adjustment to get right to our preset setting and it stops on its own. A feature I really like on the air compressor is the fact that it has an included light. It is gonna have a few different functions as well as an SOS blink, so if you need to raise or dim the brightness, as well as giving a little bit of awareness, if you're in a situation roadside, this can come in handy. So, I mean, just having something like this in your vehicle is just a great idea, and it's very well put together. Keeping an air compressor in your car, especially one that's very portable like this, is gonna be super handy for just those situations where you're out and about and you need to reinflate your tires 'cause your pressure drops, or if you're out having fun and you wanna inflate something like a soccer ball or a football or maybe even a mattress here, like if you're doing some outdoor camping. Due to the fact that it does come with the adapters for most situations you're gonna run into, even if you're cycling, it has a Presta fit for those high-pressure valves for some bicycles. The compressor itself does come with a microfiber bag, and that's gonna allow you to keep everything nice and together and compact, and it's by design made to be stowed away under your seat or in your vehicle super easily. So, the Maverick that we're using today has a seat organizer, so I'm just gonna slide that in the top pocket and that's well out the way. Generally, having an air compressor in your vehicle is just a good practice, 'cause you never really know where you may end up, and if you're in a situation where your tire pressure is dropping due to temperature changes or rapid temperature changes, you know you're good to go, you don't have to try to find a gas station or anywhere in your area when you're outside your area. So, that's gonna work for like your most practical day to day, but beyond that, it's gonna work for your adventures. So, as far as inflating sports balls like soccer balls, basketballs and footballs or inflatables like air mattresses or even like rubber tubes for outdoor adventures, I mean, with the adapter kit that comes with it, you're still wide open for cycling. If you have a Presta fitting, it is gonna work for your high-pressure tubeless bike tires as well. This has been Ed with etrailer.com taking a look at the NOCO AIR15 Portable Air Compressor. Have a great day.
