Today we will be reviewing part of our EM09090. These are the Erickson horseshoes rope cleats, this is a 2 pack. It's going to let you anchor ropes and cords on the easily accessible cleats. Simply just bolt the ring anywhere on your truck or trailer. It also has the nice pads that just go underneath each horseshoe ring. That way it's going to protect the finish that you are mounting it to, protect your paint or trailer or vehicle finish.
You just slide those underneath there and then you can pre-drill a hole three sixteenths in diameter, then you can mount your self tapping screws which are included. Which is a great feature that the hardware that you need is included. These are designed for a secure fit and easy utility. Again it does include 2 anchors, everything you see here is what's going to come with it. It is constructed of chrome plated steel. It is a very high quality and heavily built construction.
We will go over a few measurement really quick. If we are measuring the outside diameter, tip to tip is going to measure right at 3 inches. If we measure the inside diameter of our cleat it's going to give us a measurement, at its widest point, of 2 inches. That was just a diagonal measurement there at the widest point on the inside of that portion. You can see that it has 3 pre-drilled mounting holes, 1, 2, and 3 on each horseshoe style mount. If we measure the distance from the center on one hole to the center of the other in a straight line, these down here are going to measure one and seven eighths of an inch apart.
Each one is identical. If we measure from the top hole to one of the bottom holes it's going to give us a measurement of two and five sixteenths of an inch from center to center. Now once you have this mounted you are going to have about three quarters of an inch of space underneath this portion here and from point to point. Three quarters of an inch underneath and to get a rope in there. A three quarter of an inch rope is going to be a tight fit. We would recommend a half inch rope, that's going to fit perfectly in the slots provided. Again it does include 2 anchors.
These are really high quality built. They are going to last you a long time. Have a nice protective finish on it, they are going to stand up against corrosion. One other thing is the capacity. These dont have a listed capacity. The people from Erickson say that the capacity is more or less based on your mounting surface. For instance if you have it mounted on a piece of steel it's going to have a higher capacity than if it was mounted to a piece of wood. Just keep your mounting surface in mind as you place these on when it comes to your capacity. That is going to do it for today's review of part number Em09090. These are the Erickson horseshoe rope cleats and this is a 2 pack. .
We put them on the sides of our truck to use as tie downs. We love them
They make great upper rope lash down points for truck beds. The hook is low slung to prevent snagging.

I mount them open end up on the rear sides of my boondocking vehicles,
I use them to hang gear on while we get ready to hike or metal detect.
They work great and are stylish enough to look good on a Jeep or Pickup.

Working great
didn't like or use. Went with a different solution.
I searched high and low for these rope tie down rings to match the ones on my 35 yr old F250 truck. Luckily you provided the “perfect” fitting replacement part!

I love these hooks. I had some on a small truck I had for years that died. So glad I was able to get some more for my new truck. I use a California truckers knot for tie downs these hooks look good and work well
Low profile cleats, work great for tie-downs on my utility trailer.
These were a perfect replacement for the ones that were breaking on my truck. Apparently the ones I had were made out of pot metal or some other material. The screw pattern matched my old ones and the reason I went this route again. So I did not have to drill more holes into my truck. Perfect fit and very happy with the purchase!

Always put these on the side of my truck. They work well and are safe you don’t get cough ton them when you Accidentally brush up against him I highly recommend them
