Tired of turf tires slipping on hills or tearing up grass? The Kenda K505 delivers confident side-hill traction and turf-friendly siped lugs, with durable, tubeless construction built for long days on the job.
Side hills, damp grass, and tight turns can expose weak turf tires fast. The K505 uses siped lugs to add traction while still allowing the tread to flex. That balance helps the tire stay planted without digging in or tearing up finished turf.
Grass buildup can quickly lead to slipping, especially on ZTRs (zero turn radius). The K505's lug alignment helps clear grass and debris from the tread as you mow, keeping traction more consistent across changing conditions.
With added tread depth and extra rubber on the tread, the K505 is built to handle long hours on mixed terrain. Its tubeless design helps reduce pinch flats and makes servicing easier, so you spend less time dealing with tire issues during the season and more time finishing slopes and turns without interruptions.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Kenda K505 Turf Tire Lawnmower Tire. Now, this tire is designed specifically for commercial turf mowing, so it's built to handle daily use while still being easy on finished lawns. One of the biggest advantages is traction. As you can see here, we do have these siped lugs that are going to help it stay planted on slopes and wet grass, which is especially helpful when side hill mowing.
At the same time, the tread is flexible, so it's going to reduce turf damage when turning or stopping, keeping your lawn looking clean and professional. Now, from a fit and capacity standpoint, as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an 18x8.50-8 size tire. This has an 8.3 inch section width, and when this is fully inflated, the outer diameter is gonna be 17.7 inches. This is a 4-ply Load Range B tire and this is capable of supporting up to 815 pounds. That's 815 at 22 PSI.
So, no tube is required. And just as a side note, you notice that this tire is lopsided. It's indented in some places. That's gonna be normal for tires that are not mounted and inflated when they're going through the shipping process. We get these tires on a pallet wrapped up tightly.
So, you're probably going to receive this tire, a little bit lopsided. So, but once you get this mounted and inflated, it's gonna pop back to normal size. So, don't be concerned by that. The tread design is also self-cleaning, meaning grass and debris are going to shed easily instead of packing into the lugs. That's going to help maintain traction and reduce slipping during use.
Durability is going to be another strong point with this tire. Extra tread rubber is going to improve puncture resistance and slow down wear, making this a solid choice for commercial crews who don't want frequent tire replacements. So again, this is a tubeless tire. It's gonna simplify installation and help reduce pinch flats. And the rubber compound is made for commercial use, so it's gonna wear evenly under the stress of regular mowing. Overall, I think this tire is gonna be a good choice if you want reliable traction, minimal turf damage, and long-lasting performance on your commercial mower. Just keep in mind, this is for non-highway use only. If you have any other questions about this tire or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
