Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Kenda Karrier KR35 ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D, and it's mounted on this 15-inch series AM06 black aluminum trailer wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly's ideal for utility trailers, cargo trailers, and even campers. This assembly does come all pre-mounted and aired up so it's ready to install right out of the box. The wheel it's on is a aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust-proof.
And we mentioned the design on that wheel is a series AM06, which is a split six-spoke design in a black finish with a machine edge on the spokes and even on the lift to give a nice shine to the wheel. Now, the front and even the back of the wheel are all clear-coated. You notice the center cap is not included. That item we do sell separately if you do need one. When you do get a center cap, you do want to make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as the center bore right here, the pilot hole, because when you put your cap in, that center cap goes through that hole.
The pilot hole diameter right here is 3.74 inches. Now, the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel, 6 inches wide. Now, the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 6 on 5-1/2 inches. And if you want to measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case six.
It's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes go right across from each other. So you just pick one hole, let's say this one, and then you're going to measure directly across, center to center, from one hole to the other. So on this, it'll measure 5-1/2 inches, so it's 6-lug 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2-inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,960 pounds. The tire we mentioned is a Kenda Karrier KR35.
It is an ST radial trailer tire. Has a nice computer-designed footprint, gives you exceptional wear across different loads, gives you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. And the tire is an ST tire, which is a special trailer tire. Uses the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. And again, it's created specific for trailers, it's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire uses double-steel belts, full nylon ply, combined for superior function and long life. And the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall. If you go down right here by the wheel, ST for special trailer, 225/75R15. The R means that it's a radial tire. Section width, 8.6 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 28.5 inches. And the tire is a load range D, which means it's an eight-ply rated tire. Does have a maximum load capacity of 2,540 pounds at 65 psi. And this tire does come with a speed rating, and they do stamp it on the sidewall with a letter designation. And you'll find that right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter N. Speed rating N will mean 87-mile per hour speed rating. And this tire wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. But that's going to do it for a look at the Kenda Karrier KR35 ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D, mounted on this 15-inch black aluminum trailer wheel.

nice box, i didn't think it would shipped like that but it came when i was away. the delivery person put it on my front porch and i did not see until this morning but it would have not have gotten wet had it rained. i want to install it in the trailer on the spare hanger
