On hills or wet grass, the mower slips or tears turf. This non-pneumatic tire maintains traction without flats, and its bar-shaped footprint reduces turf damage, so the mower keeps moving without downtime.
Downtime hits when a tire loses air in the middle of a job and stops the mower in place. The non-pneumatic construction removes air from the equation entirely, so there's nothing to puncture or go flat. The mower keeps running through the job without interruptions from tire failure.
Loss of grip on hills or damp ground causes slipping and uneven cutting. The bar-shaped footprint improves traction by keeping more of the tire engaged with the surface. The mower holds its line across slopes and continues moving without spinning out.
Sharp zero-turn maneuvers can tear up grass, especially with aggressive tread patterns. The footprint design reduces turf disturbance during zero-degree turns by spreading contact more evenly. The mower turns in place while the grass stays intact instead of getting ripped up.
Uneven tread wear shortens tire life and leads to early replacement. The flatter tread pattern distributes contact across the tire surface to promote consistent wear. The tire maintains its shape and performance longer instead of wearing down in patches.
Operating across slopes can cause the mower to feel unstable or shift under load. The tire construction supports side-hill stability by maintaining contact and control across angled terrain. The mower tracks across slopes with less shifting during operation.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Kenda TurfSteel non-pneumatic tire and wheel for mowers. Folks, this is going to be a 24 by 12 by 12 tire, and it's got a four lug wheel with a negative 2.2 inch offset. So folks, if you mow professionally or just spend a lot of time maintaining large properties, you know there's nothing more frustrating than getting sidelined, slowed down with a flat tire in the middle of the job. So with this, that's going to eliminate that problem. Again, this is a four lug width and center cap included.
This is a 24 by 12 by 12 tire size. Let me tilt it back here so you can kind of see through it. I like it, it's kind of cool. Again, it's non-pneumatic, so obviously there's no air in here. It's just using this design to cushion everything as you go.
Mix that in with this nice bar shaped tread pattern, and that's going to deliver excellent traction for you on hills and wet grass, but it's also going to help reduce turf damage that you're going to get normally during those tight zero turn movements. So this will take care of that. You won't get that as much. Another benefit is it's durable, right So the tough steel design promotes more even tread wear and that's going to extend your tire life while maintaining stability across uneven terrain and those side hills. Now I got a section width of about 10 and a half inches across and a diameter with the whole wheel combo of 23.9 inches across.
And again, this is a four lug steel wheel, and it has again what's called a negative 2.2 inch offset. Okay, Steve, what's that mean Well, I highly recommend that based on your mower, you double check what came factory. But basically an offset on a wheel and tire is from the center line, it's where basically this is going to sit on that hub. So in this case, a negative offset is literally going to take this wheel and tire combo and push it away or outward from like the deck, and the suspension and those kind of things. And this works great with Bad Boy, Bobcat, Scag, Toro, and many other compatible name brands, zero turn mowers alike.
So again, folks, this is a great option for you. It's a non-pneumatic, no flat tire and wheel combo. So if you're looking for a maintenance free option, this will do it. This is the Kenda TurfSteel non-pneumatic tire and wheel. I'm Steve with etrailer, thanks for watching.

The Kenda TurfSteel Non-Pneumatic Tires were put on a Scag V-Ride II 61”. The tires fit well and look great. I added black lug-nuts to complete the look. They replaced some worn Michelin Tweels. It required parking brake adjustment and re-leveling the deck to obtain the correct pitch. They have a much better grip than the Tweels, but still maintain the reduced ground pressure of the Tweel without turf-tear out on turns.
The packaging was a bit lacking. Both boxes were split and required careful handing by UPS and myself. Also there maybe an issue in the ‘pre-paint’ process. Both wheels had some sort of rough dull residue under the paint that covered from the hub out one spoke. It was on both wheels, but more pronounced on one in particular.
Now I need some front caster wheel assemblies to match. Perhaps you could suggest that to Kenda.

Glad to hear they are going to work for you, Randy! Sorry about the packaging and paint issues though. I will have our warehouse informed about both to make sure they are addressed. These are pricey and should be in good condition when they get to you. Let us know how these compare to the Tweels as well. These are pretty much brand new to us and are always open to real world feedback (good or bad)! ^___^
