Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this Kenda Karrier KR53 ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire with this 16-inch galvanized spoked steel wheel. Now, this radial trailer tire does come pre-mounted on this 16-inch galvanized spoked steel wheel with a six on 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern. So, whether you're replacing a worn out setup or you're prepping for a new trailer, you're definitely gonna save time and be able to skip the hassle of separate mounting and inflation. The KR53 tread is optimized for road control and trailer stability. The low-rolling resistance is going to help maintain fuel efficiency and steady tracking on long-distance hauls.
As you know, the radial construction of this tire is gonna help reduce heat buildup, and it's going to promote longer tread life, especially on extended trips. Now, as I said at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST235/80R16 tire. This is a Load Range E tire, meaning it has a 10-ply rating. The maximum load capacity is 3,520 pounds at 85 PSI, and this tire has a speed rating of N, indicating a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour. This included galvanized spoked wheel is going to resist rust and corrosion, making it ideal for marine environments, salted roads, and year-round utility use.
The measurements of our wheel, looking at the diameter first. Measuring bead seat to bead seat is 16 inches. The width is going to be six inches. And our bolt pattern, as I mentioned, is six on 5 1/2 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
So, to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The wheel stud size is a 1/2 an inch by 20. The capacity of our wheel is 3,050 pounds. This does not include a center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.27 inches.
