Radial tire has a ply rating of 10 and a 3,500-lb maximum load at 90 psi. The 16" diameter x 6" wide steel trailer wheel features a 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern and a corrosion-resistant powder coat finish.

The tire on this assembly has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a load range E, and it's mounted on this 16 inch black spoke steel wheel with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now the tire is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire, it couples the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. It is an ST tire, which stands for special trailer tire. It is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on other vehicles.
They do use double steel belts and full nylon plies which combine for superior function and long life. The tread is a nice computer generated tread design, and it offers premium rubber compound materials to give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. Now, the tire size which will be stamped on the sidewall, down here by the wheel, it'll say ST for special trailer, 235/80R 16, R means it's a radial tire. Section width 9.4 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 30.9 inches.
The tire is a load range E, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire, so the maximum load capacity is 3,500 pounds at 90 PSI. And it does come with a speed rating and they do stamp that on the sidewall, but it is in a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean 81 mile per hour speed rating. The wheel on it, you can see it's a multispoke steel wheel by Dexstar.
It does resist rust with the e-coat and then a black powder coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel. The dimensions on the wheel, the diameter, 16 inches, the width on just the wheel, six inches wide, the bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case, eight, it's pretty simple because the lug holes are directly across from each other. So just pick one of the holes and measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this, it'll measure six and a half inches, so it's an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.
It will use a wheel lug size of either 1/2 inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18. Now, this wheel does not come with the center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. You do wanna get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, 'cause when you install it, it goes through the hole here. Diameter on this pilot hole is 4.9 inches, and the weight capacity on the wheel is 3 or 3,750 pounds. You do wanna remember that the maximum capacity of the combined tire and wheel assembly is 3,500 pounds. And this tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. But that should do it for a look at the Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a load range E mounted on this 16 inch black spoke steel wheel.
Great delivery, great product.
