Features to know about

Stop Rust Before It Starts: Dacromet Finish Stands Up to the Elements

Nothing ruins a suspension faster than rust from saltwater or road treatments. This 7-leaf slipper spring is coated in a dacromet finish with a salt spray rating of 700 hours, so it resists corrosion long after standard painted or zinc-coated parts start flaking. It’s a solid upgrade for any trailer that spends time near water or runs on heavily treated roads, keeping your suspension looking clean and lasting longer.

Reliable Support for Heavy Loads: Built for 8,000-lb Axles

When you’re hauling weight, you need springs that hold steady mile after mile. This strong steel spring has a 4,000-lb capacity per side, giving your 8,000-lb axle balanced support and control. The 7-leaf pack handles constant stress without sagging or flattening prematurely, so your trailer tracks evenly and rides smooth even under full load.

Ready to Bolt In: Correct Fit with 26-5/8" Length and 2" Width

Replacing old suspension parts should be straightforward. This spring measures 26-5/8" from the center of the eye to the end of the hook and fits standard 2" wide hangers. The eye comes preinstalled with a 9/16" nylon bushing for proper hardware fit. Just line up the existing hangers, bolt it in with your suspension hardware (sold separately), and you’re back on the road.

Low Maintenance Strength: Steel Build with Nylon Bushings for Smooth Travel

A good spring shouldn’t mean constant maintenance. The sturdy steel construction takes the pounding, while the nylon bushings keep movement quiet and smooth without metal-on-metal wear. It’s a simple setup that improves ride comfort and reduces vibration through rough roads.

Consistent, Long-Term Performance: Replace Springs in Pairs for Proper Alignment

Over time, old springs can flatten and stretch out. Installing a matched pair ensures both sides carry their share of the load and your axle alignment stays true. With durable materials and rust-resistant protection built in, this dacromet slipper spring helps keep your suspension reliable for the long haul.

Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Leaf Springs - Slipper Springs - e96FV

Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our very own etrailer Rust Resistant, Dacromet-coated Seven Leaf Slipper Spring with the hook end, rated at 8,000 pound axle capacity. So folks, this will upgrade your trailer suspension and save you time and money on maintenance by having something that's gonna be rust resistant and just give you a lot longer lifetime on your springs. It's gonna be excellent for boat trailers or any trailer really that gets regularly exposed to salt treated roads, those kind of things, and water. Now this can resist rust and corrosion with this nice Dacromet finish. It's got a salt spray rating of an impressive 700 hours.

Now this would mount to your trailer frame suspension using existing hangers and suspension hardware that you should already have, that is not included. So if you need that, you can pick up here separately. It is made of a heavy duty steel construction. You got the nylon bushing already pressed in here. That eye diameter is a 9/16", and without that bushing in there, the spring inside dimension is 1-5/16".

It is an seven leaf spring, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. And everything's steel banded here for durability. And again, everything up here would sit with your plate over it and your u-bolts to help hold it in place along with the hangers for the front and rear. The spring width is two inches. From the very back tip here on top to the center eye, I got 26-5/8".

Now this spring by itself is only rated at 4,000 pounds capacity, two of them on one axle gives them a rating of 8,000 pound axle capacity. We recommend you change these in pairs. That way you get two brands matching up the same material, the same spring and the same dimensions on everything as brand to brand, sometimes they can be a little bit different. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look today at our etrailer slipper spring for a 8,000 pound rated axle, 26-5/8" measurement. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Springs are good I guess. I bought the wrong size. They were to long. I usually only use trailer twice a year, once on way to riverat beginning of season and then back home at the end of season.

I installed these on my 1999 boat trailer that had very rusted leaf springs. They are twice and strong and gave me an extra inch of clearance from my fenders which is great because the tires used to rub going over bumps. No idea if the coating will make them last longer, but they look nicer.
