When you’re hauling serious weight, you need suspension parts that can take it. This hanger kit is designed for tandem, 10,000-lb general-duty Dexter axles and uses solid steel hangers in three sizes—5-1/4" front, 4-1/2" center, and 4-1/2" rear—to keep everything aligned and stable. It attaches four 2-1/2" wide slipper springs (sold separately) to your trailer frame for a strong, balanced setup that handles heavy loads without flexing.
Uneven axle spacing can make a trailer bounce or sway. The 18-3/8" long straight equalizers in this kit keep the 42-1/4" spacing between axles consistent so the load is shared evenly. Each equalizer has a 1" diameter center hole for mounting to the hanger and a 3/4" side hole for the spring connection, giving the suspension just the right amount of flex to keep the ride steady.
The kit includes all the core hardware for the hangers and equalizers—(4) 4-1/2" long x 3/4" diameter spring-eye bolts with matching locknuts, and (2) 5-1/4" long x 1" diameter equalizer bolts with their locknuts. Each piece fits precisely with the hangers and equalizers, locking the suspension together so it stays tight mile after mile.
Getting the geometry right matters for straight tracking on the road. The hanger spacing—35-1/10" between front and center hangers, 34-2/3" between center and rear, and 5" from axle center to frame—is set up for proper axle placement. Once it’s installed, the suspension sits square and level, keeping your trailer stable and predictable whether loaded or empty.
