A loose axle can ruin your suspension’s stability. This replacement U-bolt locks your 2" wide square axle firmly to the leaf springs for a secure, consistent hold. With a 9/16" diameter and 5-3/4" length, it’s built to handle the clamping force needed to keep your axle seated right where it belongs.
You don’t want corrosion eating away at suspension hardware. This U-bolt is made from galvanized steel that’s dipped in a hot zinc solution to protect against rust and road grime. It stays solid even after seasons of wet roads and storage outdoors, keeping your setup dependable over time.
For a strong and repeatable connection, this U-bolt is Grade 5 steel and torques down between 65 and 95 ft-lbs. That range gives you the clamping pressure you need without over-tightening, so your suspension stays secure and balanced under load.
Everything you need for the clamp itself is right here. The two included nuts thread cleanly onto the 18-threads-per-inch bolt ends for a snug, even fit. Once it’s tightened down with your U-bolt plate (sold separately), the connection is ready for the miles ahead.

Today we'll be reviewing part number 175211. This is Redline's Replacement U-Bolt with the two nuts that are going to be included for two inch wide square trailer axles. This is used with a u-bolt plate to secure the axle to the leaf springs which are mounted to the trailer frame. It's going to attach with the u-bolt plate which is sold separately, and an additional u-bolt with the same dimensions as this one, also going to be sold separately. This will fit square two inch wide trailer axles. It's going to include the u-bolt along with the two nuts.
The bolt diameter, if we take a look at that real quick, it's going to give us a measurement of nine-sixteenths of an inch. The length that we have from the bottom of the cross member to the end of the bolt is going to measure five and three quarters of an inch. The width that we have between the two u-bolt studs is going to measure two inches. That's going to do it for our review of part number 175211. This is Redline's Replacement U-Bolt with the included nuts.

Had 12 leaf springs that broke, got 6 leaf from Etrailer, had to replace the U bolts for the thinner stack. These U bolts are thicker (stronger) than the originals I had.

My boat trailer broke and I needed to replace the entire suspension system. I called around to local businesses and would have to wait several weeks for them to order the parts.
