Today we're going to be taking a look at the U-Bolt Plate for trailer suspension systems. The U-Bolt Plate is going to help secure a 1 3/4 inch diameter axle to a 1 3/4 inch wide leaf spring. This does require two 3/8 inch diameter U-Bolts, the U-Bolts are sold separately. If you're in need of those, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The four outer holes on this unit are designed to accept a 3/8 inch diameter bolt. The unit's made from galvanized steel so it's very strong and durable.
As well as corrosion resistant so this would be great for use on both trailers or any application that's exposed to moisture. The product is made in the USA. We're going to take a look at some of the overall dimensions real quick. Measuring from edge to edge going this direction. It's going to measure 3 1/2 inches. These holes are going to be separated on center by 2 1/4.
Measuring this direction, outer edge to outer edge. We're looking at 3 1/2 inches, and then again these holes are going to be separated by 2 1/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the U-Bolt Plate from CE Smith.
