Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Fusion LED Hardwired Trailer Light

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we take a look at the Optronics round fusion LED hardwired stop, tail, turn, and backup trailer light with the red and the clear lens. Now, this round trailer tail light has a nice smooth, bright red exterior which will serve four functions, and I have this hooked up to some 12 volt power so I can show you those functions. Basically, I'll go ahead and turn on a 12 volt power and you can see there's your tail lights. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and now you can see the tail lights operating. When you do apply your brakes, you'll be able to see that it gets brighter when your brakes are applied.

And then when you apply your turn signals, you'll see basically that same section. They'll flash for your turn. And then the last function I wanted to show you would be the backup function. So let me get the backup function hooked up here. And with that hooked up, and then when you go into reverse, you'll be able to see the middle white LEDs light up very bright.

Lets everybody know that you're going into reverse. It is a total of 14 LEDs. Gonna turn off our power. Now, this is a nice sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible. It uses durable SMT technology, which is surface mount technology.

That's the construction of the LED circuit board. It'll let you better withstand shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. Now, we mentioned these light uses LEDs, which will make great replacements for the incandescent lights mainly 'cause they'll last 50 times longer and they're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And the nice thing is no bulbs replaced, no brittle filaments to break, and there is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. The red lens you can see is set inside with the white lens in the middle, and it uses red LEDs and the middle lens is white LEDs for the backup light in the middle there.

It is a flush mount design, has the built-in black flange that goes all the way around. Now to install this, you can see the three holes here that you put screws in. The hardware to install this is not included. You would have to supply that. It is hardwired. You can see at the back ready to install. The wired length is about eight inches. And the wire configuration is the black wire is your power wire or your taillights. White is your ground. Red would be your stop and turn signal. And then the brown is your backup or reverse lights. This light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant. Does meet the federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 requirements for automotive lighting. A few dimensions on this. This is 12 volt light, hooks to 12 volt. The overall diameter of this including the flange 5-1/2 inches. The depth on it front to back's right at one inch. And the light face, just the light itself without the flange included, is 4-1/4 inches.
