Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Submersible Red LED Mini Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light. With this one and a quarter inch round, waterproof, LED mini trailer light, you are going to be able to haul safer by alerting other drivers of your trailer's position and direction of travel. As you can see, I have this connected to my power source already and you can see just how bright this is with my bright studio lights on here. But just to give you a better demonstration of its brightness, let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off here, shine this on my table and then I'm going to go for a wide view just so you can see what this looks like from the distance.
This light functions as both a clearance and side marker light when properly mounted. I'm going to shine this on the wall behind me there. And this one white LED underneath this red lens is going to last 50 times longer than incandescent lights. It's energy efficient, providing brighter light with less power output. And what's nice about LEDs is there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments.
Now this is a PC rated light meaning it produces a 90 degree angle of light on either side of its center line for a total of 180 degrees coverage. And the beam pattern can be clearly seen when you're standing directly in front of the light as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. So rather than buying a side marker and clearance light separately, you can mount this single PC rated light at a 45 degree angle on the rear corner of your trailer to act as both. Now this features a durable polycarbonate housing and lens. As you can see, it does feature this grommet and this is going to be compatible with your 12 volt DC system.
As you can see, it's a two wire installation and it's a recess mount installation. And again, the diameter of this light is one and a quarter inches and the thickness is about seven eighths of an inch. And this does have a lifetime warranty on the LED. These are bright but not as bright as the amber color and the adhesive backing sticks very well. I used a 23/64 drill bit for the mounting hole and the barbs on the rubber grommet helps keep the light from coming out along with the adhesive on the back.
The lights look good on the front of the trailer.

The pictures show an extra bracket installed on the top of the fenders. While this may not look perfect, it truly makes the fender a rugged reliable step for a full size adult.
