It is certified for the backup light function in a two lamp system when a pair of lights is installed. Your second light is sold separately and available at etrailer.com. It features a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit that is submersible. The one series provides bright light using a single LED or single diode unlike other LED lights.The unit features durable surface mount technology when it comes to the construction of the LED circuit board.
It's designed to better withstand shock and vibration and allow for improved heat distribution.LEDs are great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer. They burn brighter. They're more efficient. With LEDs you don't have to worry replacing bulbs or worry about inaudible 00:00:49 filaments.This particular light features a nice polycarbonate lens and housing.
It's very strong and durable. The clear lens allows plenty of light to come through. It features one white or clear LED. It's a recess mount installation with a mounting grommet. Mounting grommet is sold separately and available at etrailer.com.
Also on the back it is designed to work with or accept an industry standard two prong plug which is also sold separately and available at etrailer.com.You will notice that it has three connection points right here. Typically that's because Optronics uses that same footprint on most of their lights, and this one's no different. Even though there's three connection points, typically that's one for ground, one for your taillights and then one for your stop and turn signal. This one, since it's a backup light, it only needs two of those prongs. It only needs the ground to be used and then it will use this bottom one here, which is designated for the stop and turn light, which would just get wired into the reverse site function.
Even though there's a flush point back here for a three prong, only a two prong plug is required.It's Department of Transportation compliant and meets FMVSS108 and CMVSS108 requirements for automotive lighting. We're going to go over the dimensions and then we'll hook it up to power starting with the overall diameter. It measures about 4-5/16 of a inch. The overall depth is about 1-11/16 of an inch. That's measuring from the back of the plug to the furthest of point to the lens.Right here you can see that I have a standard two prong plug. I'm just going to line it up and then push it into the connection points. It does cover up all three slots. It only uses two, covers up all three, keeps dirt, grime and moisture out of the connection points.You can see here that the light sends out a nice bright consistent signal. It's got that single diode design, so on LED power draulic 12.8 volts, is 0.26 amps. Optronics does put a lifetime warranty.That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics One LED backup light for trucks and trailers.

The lenses look great and give the appearance of updating the RV with clear new looking lights. The old faded ones aged the RV. And they were fairly easy to install.
Purchased the 4" round clear LED sealed backup light to put in a new truck and utility bed that I put together. lights work great. Haven't had any problems to date.
Replacement for obsolete backup light from my RV worked perfect, took 60 seconds to replace.
