If you're replacing a worn spindle or building a custom axle, this straight spindle provides a secure mounting point for compatible hub and brake components. It's ideal for replacement or custom axle fabrication.
A worn or damaged spindle can prevent your hub and brake components from mounting correctly, affecting trailer performance and repairability. This straight spindle replaces the original spindle or provides the foundation for a custom trailer axle, restoring a secure mounting point for compatible hub and brake components.
Compatible with 3,500-lb trailer axles, this straight spindle is intended for weld-on installation during replacement or custom fabrication. Once installed, it provides the mounting point needed for compatible hub and brake components.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Terran Industries straight spindle for your 3,500 pound trailer axle. This spindle is a weld-on mounting point for the hub and brake components on the 3,500 pound trailer axle, and this can be used to replace a worn or damaged spindle or as part of a custom axle build. It has a straight, standard spindle design and 2 3/8 inch diameter. And as you also see here, a four-hole or four-bolt brake flange. The main reason you would consider something like this is, maybe your existing spindle has been damaged, often from bearing failure or maybe you're fabricating an axle and you need a spindle for the hub assembly.
Now, fitment's going to be the biggest thing to understand before picking this up. Knowing that you have a 3,500 pound axle is important, but you also need to make sure the spindle works with the hubs, bearings and seals and other components that you plan to use. And this spindle does have to be welded to your axle and its alignment needs to be accurate. If a spindle is not installed square and concentric with the axle, that can contribute to wheel tracking problems, normal tire wear, and premature bearing problems. So for that reason, spindle replacement is generally something to have done by someone experienced with trailer axle fabrication and welding.
