Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Lippert standard dust caps. These are going to be a 2.72-inch diameter, and you're going to get quantity two. Now, folks, as you probably already know, these dust cap will cover the hub opening that's going to help protect the bearings, the grease, the inner hub, from contaminants. This will be the last component you push into the hub.

It does have a small lip here. I recommend a cap tool to insert these back in place. The inside of this measurement here, the diameter, rather, here, if you're measuring outside of just this lip here, is 2.72 inches. And that's a common size; a lot of 7,000, 8,000-pound axles. And obviously you want to make sure you confirm that fit with yours before you replace out what you have with these.

Now, these are zinc-plated. So it's steel, it's zinc plating. It's going to hold to corrosion for years and years and years. It's a drive-in installation. So again, it's going to be a tight fit.
