This bow bell mounts on one end of a 4" wide bow roller on your boat trailer to provide additional surface area for improved boat-to-roller contact. Yellow thermoplastic rubber outlasts traditional rubber and won't mark up your boat.

Today we are going to review part number YR400Y. This is a Yates bow bell for boat trailer rollers. This bow bell will mount on one end of a 4-inch wide bow roller on your boat trailer. It will provide additional surface area for improved boat-to-roller contact and prevent damage to your boat when loading and unloading. This part is constructed of TPR material, which is a thermal plastic rubber material. It is a non-marking, non-scratching material and it is stronger, more durable than your traditional rubber roller.
It is a softer, more pliant than the polyurethane. This part is made in the USA and I am going to do a few dimensions for you. We are going to measure the diameter at the attachment point where this attaches to the bow roller, and that will be 3-1/2 inches. And then the diameter of the widest point will be 5-1/4 inches. This bow bell is designed to mount on a 4-inch wide bow roller that has a half-inch diameter shaft.
And that should do it for part number YR400Y.

Ordered 2 bow bells for my Bass boat. Great price but one of them snaped while trailering the boat after just a couple months of use. The second bow bell is holding up great over a year later.
Rollers/bumpers work better than original and they do a better job at not marring the boat which was typical for the black rollers.

Had to replace it again.

Nothing too technical about the part itself. A simple swap out of the old parts. Matched the dimensions of the OEM parts so the installation went smoothly. Although I have had limited use of the Boat, the Bell Rollers which flank the Keel Roller has been working very well
I recently replaced my original black rubber bow bells and roller with these yellow parts. The original black parts constantly marked the bow. While I have not retrieved the boat yet with the new rollers, I am looking forward to a clean bow. Since I was replacing black Yates parts with yellow Yates parts I was able to reuse the shaft, nylon lock nut and end washers. Leave the nut a little loose so the roller can roll.
Works great on the boat trailer. No more scratches loading and unloading the Ranger Boat.
