Today we're taking a look at the Yates bow bell for boat trailer rollers. This attaches to the end of bow roller on your trailer to prevent damage to your boat when loading and unloading. It ensures that your boat does not scrape along bolts or roller brackets. It's constructed of black thermal plasticized rubber, that's TPR technology. It's a non-scratching material, it's stronger and more durable than traditional rubber, and softer and more pliant than polyurethane.Product's made in the USA. This is designed for a 3 inch wide bow roller on a half-inch diameter shaft.
The diameter at the widest point on this unit measures about 4-and-a-half inches, the diameter at the attachment point, which is right here, gives us a measurement of about 3 to 3-and-one-eighth inches, right in that area. I’ll start be giving a huge AWESOME JOB TO THE STAFF, for the great service. I ordered the Yates keel and bow rollers to replace all the old black rubber on a stainless steel Boston Whaler trailer that I built for a friend about 18 years ago. The local suppliers didn’t have everything I needed in one place. So I checked online and found etrailer.com and ordered keel rollers, end caps, bow roller with bell ends. Confirmed the order about 3-4 in the morning Hawaii time and learned the order was shipped less that five hours latter. And the box was sitting outside my door two days later. Quick delivery and excellent product
I recently replaced my original black rubber bow bells and roller with these yellow parts. The original black parts constantly marked the bow. While I have not retrieved the boat yet with the new rollers, I am looking forward to a clean bow. Since I was replacing black Yates parts with yellow Yates parts I was able to reuse the shaft, nylon lock nut and end washers. Leave the nut a little loose so the roller can roll.
I expected it to be solid rubber, however it is hollow inside. I am not familiar with such products so it was an education for me.
Works great on the boat trailer. No more scratches loading and unloading the Ranger Boat.
