With the Pro X15 you don’t lose bed space just because you want protection. The soft roll-up layout lets you unroll or roll it up in seconds for full access to the bed. Built-in safety straps keep it secured at the cab while you drive, and the rolled cover stays low enough that it doesn’t block your rear window. Because it mounts inside the bed rails, you still have room for stake-pocket accessories, tie-downs, and liners without having to remove the cover.

This cover is made from durable woven polyester fabric with a vinyl coating that stands up to heat, cold, and UV exposure. It resists fading and keeps out dirt, dust, and moisture through changing seasons. The matte-black finish gives it a clean look and helps it stay that way by shedding grime more easily. Automotive-grade seals at the cab and tailgate keep rain and road spray out so your gear stays dry.

The Pro X15 sits just ½ inch above the bed rails, thanks to its 15-degree-angled side rails. That flush mount reduces drag and helps improve gas mileage while giving the truck a sleek look instead of a bulky one. Automatic tension control uses spring-loaded plungers at the tailgate to keep the fabric tight and smooth in any weather.

You can clamp the side rails in place without drilling or special tools. The self-leveling design lines them up flat against the bed rails as you tighten the clamps, so the cover seals evenly all the way around. Hook-and-loop fasteners secure the cover to the rails as it unrolls, and when you close and lock the tailgate, the bed is fully secured.

Opening or closing the cover takes only one person. Industrial-grade hook-and-loop fasteners hold it tight with no snaps or zippers to fuss with. To open it, just pull the quick-release latch on either side and roll it forward. To close, roll it back and press down on the end at the tailgate until it locks—no tools or adjustments needed.

I have contacted the manufacturer and they said that these kinds of problems stem from having the cover installed too far back. You will need to install the cover closer to the cab, and have it compressed 50 by the cabin. They said that your situation can also be resolved by making sure that the tailgate is closed during installation. This will help make sure that the rail is even and not too far back.

After a second year the Truxedo Pro15 is still truck’n along just like new. All of the Velcro is still great, fabric hasn’t faded and the tailgate latch hasn’t had any problems.
