It uses heavy-duty 3/4" thick aluminum slats bonded to a premium five-layer polyester and vinyl fabric that’s tested to handle temperatures from -40°F up to 120°F. The result is a tough, impact-resistant surface that shields cargo from weather and debris while rolling up easily when you need full bed access. The all-black finish gives it a clean, seamless look whether open or closed.
Loading tall or bulky gear doesn’t mean you have to remove the cover. Just pull one of the release cables at the tailgate, and the Sentry rolls up in seconds. Built-in safety straps secure the rolled cover at the cab so it stays tight and low, keeping your rear-window view clear. When you need even more room, the quick-release guides let you remove the whole cover without tools.
A cover that doesn’t sit even can bind or leak. The Sentry solves that with rails angled at 15 degrees that sit only 1/2" above the bed. The self-leveling clamps square the rails automatically as you tighten them, so the cover rolls out straight every time. The inside-mount design keeps stake pockets open for tie-downs and accessories while maintaining a flush, streamlined profile that cuts wind drag.
Keeping valuables safe is easy with the Sentry’s hard aluminum slats and dual locking setup. Slam latches at the tailgate automatically lock the cover when the tailgate is closed, and extra latches at mid-bed secure the sides so no one can pry it up. Used with a locked tailgate, the bed stays sealed and secure from both weather and theft.
From snow load to gear stacked on top, the Sentry cover handles it. Its reinforced aluminum-and-vinyl construction supports up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight when closed. Rubber weather seals help keep out water and dust, and the matte, leather-grain top resists UV fading. It stays looking good and working reliably season after season.

The Sentry and Sentry CT by TruXedo are hard roll up style truck bed covers that feature an extra low profile.The Sentry comes with a leather grain vinyl fabric and the Sentry CT comes with woven matte black fabric. Both feature fabric that is pressure bonded to heavy duty aluminum slats, making Sentry the ultimate in durability and security.Each cover ships with a cover assembly, driver and passenger side rails, and all the hardware necessary to install it on your truck. The only tools necessary are a half inch wrench and scissors.Clean the bulkhead area with alcohol. Adhere the rubber seal to the bulk head, making sure to align the seal with the inside edge of the bulkhead. Trim the seal to sit flush with the bed caps.Position one side rail on the truck bed. Make sure the rail sits level on top of the truck bed.
Slide the rail towards the bulkhead so that the foam seal is compressed about half way. Install a clamp in the center of the rail, using a half inch wrench to tighten.Install the real clamp about 12 inches from the tailgate. To ensure a proper seal, put pressure on top of the rail when tightening. Install the front clamp about 12 inches from the bulkhead. Repeat on the opposite side.Place the cover assembly on the rails at the bulkhead.
Line the screw head on the underside of the cover assembly with the slot in the rail on each side.Slide the header guides towards the rail to secure the rolled cover to the rails. The header guide will click when it is securely fastened.Unroll the cover to the tailgate. Close the tailgate. Then push down on the end of the cover to latch both sides. Secure the hook and loop on both side rails before driving.To open the cover, drop the tailgate and pull down on a release cable.
Lift and roll rear header.To drive with the cover in the open position, both straps must be secured to the restraining straps. To releasee the strap, push the tab up.The installation is now complete.

This cover fits very well, no flap at high speed. Smooth, flat profile. Positive locking mechanism, that works easily to open. Expensive, but worth every penny!
This cover has been great over the past year! Very durable and easy to use. Only gripe is removing it as the latches are difficult to operate, but I don't need to do that often.

I’m very happy with this cover. It fits well, rolls up easily when needed and does a great job of keeping my cargo safe and dry.
I had to return the cover because turns out my box on my pick up wasn’t square then by the cabin was wider than the far end so the Tonnele cover kept falling through and I never could get it installed properly so I had to send it back I did get a partial refund but overall I lost over $150 on the transaction
My advice is make sure your box is square.
The quality of this product is very good. It fits perfectly on my Ram 2500 short bed. Admittedly, it took longer than I expected to install it but that was my fault. It helps to have two people working on it together. Once installed it worked exactly as advertised. Yes, I would recommend this item to a friend.
Installation was simple and the cover has held up well. It provides protection to everything under it, just as we expected. We would buy it again!
This is the second Tuxedo tonneau cover that I have had. My current truck has a drop in bed liner which makes for a tighter fit, but it looks good, seems to be solid, and is simple to open and close
I installed it after watching YouTube and it was quite easy! It was hard to lock at first but then I moved the rear clamps closer to the end/clips and it now locks without hitting the top. Wind does not vibrate it at all. Ran it thru the carwash and minimal water was in the bed-coould've been I didn't press down on the velcro sides to really seal it. Happy with quality!
I am still loving my cover. No one has tried to break it open to see what is inside. You have to open the Tailgate to get to the release straps. My son and I installed it fairly easy. Just a matter of lining everything up. Perfect for someone in Construction. My friend from long time ago has had his expensive tools stolen 2 times. So do not say the cover is too expensive!
I'm 80 years old and with help from my 73 year old wife, quite easily installed our new TruXedo Sentry hard roll up cover in under an hour. The product arrived well packed with all components easily identifiable. This is the neatest tonneau cover I've owned. It is solid, well designed and open and closes with little effort. It also looks great on my '23 Ram.

With a minor addition the six and one-half cover works well with a cross-box toolbox in my truck's eight foot bed. It also rolls back to allow access for the fifth-wheel hitch when I need that to haul our 5th-wheel trailer.

I love this tonneau cover. The only reason it's 4 stars is that on installation, one of the tie down straps broke. TruXedo immediately replaced it. In the first month, the lip over the tailgate started peeling. TruXedo immediately sent me a second tonneau cover, free of charge. Now I have a spare. Even though I've had a couple of issues, this thing is awesome and sturdy. TruXedo's customer service has been amazing.

Overall this hard cover has held up very well. Provides greater access to truck bed versus folding covers.
This cover installed easily with a little help from my 18 yr old son. I opted for the vinyl (Sentry) over the fabric (Sentry CT) and I don’t regret that choice at all. The cover fits snug and gives truck a nice clean/sleek look. Only thing that was a minor issue was no primer/adhesion promoter is included. We will see if the seal provided stands up without it. I do have the factory spray on bed liner so I was expecting to see a little kit included. Otherwise, the cover is perfect!
Finally found a bed cover to fit my Nissan Frontier PRO 4X with factory utility rails .... pros at e-trailer provided the exact model I needed ... easy install, no issues.
Note: when working alone, close the tailgate and locate the side rails in place by compressing the rubber seals at each end of the rail. This holds the rail in place making clamp install very easy. This process also assures that holes are in alignment for cover installation...
The package received was previously opened before, it is likely a returned item, the hardware and brackets are missing. I hope e-trailer is going to help getting a new unopened complete set.
Disappointing!
So far so good. Installation instructions were clear. It take my a while to do the final adjustments at the tailgate so that it would lock. That being said, once I did that, operation is easy and I love how solid this roll up is.
Just love this Truxedo Sentry on my truck. It makes items in the bed of the truck way more secure than the canopy I had. So happy with my purchase!
