Getting to your gear shouldn’t take effort. The Switchblade retracts smoothly thanks to a built-in tension spring that pulls the cover into its canister when you squeeze the pinch grips under the rear plate. A pull strap lets you close it back up in seconds, and everything locks down tight when your tailgate is locked. You get the convenience of full bed access without dealing with folding panels or bulky covers that block rear visibility.
This cover blends the seamless look of a soft tonneau with the strength of a hard one. Its vinyl top is bonded to rigid aluminum panels for a weather-resistant surface that holds up through daily use and bad weather. The black finish sits flush inside the bed rails for a clean, low-profile look that reduces wind drag and can even help with gas mileage.
When it’s time to haul something big, you can take the Switchblade off in about 10 minutes using just a wrench. The canister and rails lift out easily, giving you full use of your bed front to back. When you’re done, reinstalling it is just as quick—no drilling required. Kickstand clamps help you level the rails so they sit right every time.
Rain and car washes don’t have to mean a soaked bed. The Switchblade channels water through its rails into the canister, then drains it out through tubes at the bed floor. Foam seals at the bulkhead and a large tailgate seal close off gaps to keep water and debris away from your gear, while the angled canister protects the retracted cover from moisture and dirt.
When closed, both the pinch grips and pull strap are tucked under the rear plate where they can’t be reached with the tailgate locked. The heavy-gauge aluminum panels resist cutting or prying, making this cover far tougher against theft than soft or tri-fold designs. Your tools and cargo stay out of sight and protected wherever you park.

I know that it is not your problem but the installation instructions need to be better I learned more from a video on the cover than what the instructions told me .Maybe Pace Edwards should include a link on their instruction page

Finally got time to install my bed cover. Love it, much better than the old back flip that I had on my old truck.
Abigail helped me find the correct tonneau cover that fits an 8 ft. Truck bed. Order came pretty quickly and my wife and I installed it in about 1 1/2 hours. The materials seem to be top notch and look amazing on my truck. Love the low profile.The cover slides back and forth with ease. Great fit! Great Product. Do watch the video's on the installation. Great service and fine product! Order was delivered in two packages and delivered on time, and all the parts were included (nothing left out as sometimes happens). Tonneau cover was easy to install both by following included directions or by using the demo video on the website. Item fit my 2026 RAM3500 DRW MEGA CAB like OEM and worked properly upon installation.
I have only one slight concern as you will see in provided pictures. To make the cover fully "water tight", you will need to add some type of seal or trim where the bed meets the bed rails, as the provided seal does not extend over this small, open area at the joint.
Looks good. Easy install. Can be done by one person. Opens and closes smoothly.
It keeps items in the bedroom covered but NOT DRY . It is NOT worth the $1200 . Seriously thinking about going back to my tri fold cover
Thank you eTrailer for your install videos. They are so much better to follow than the instructions that come with the cover. It took me about an hour to install if not a bit longer due to the rain. I installed on my own, which the install woukd be faster if you have someone helping you. The only thing I had an issue with was the weather strip but it was also due to the surface being wet and hard to dry.
It is installed and was fairly straight forward. Despite others indicating there were no instructions, mine included somewhat clear instructions (could be better). If I had understood that staples through vinyl into aluminum was the core of the design - or a plastic bin was the container, I would certainly have kept looking for something with a more robust design. I expect a couple/three years before replacing, but it solves my immediate need. In this case, ability to see the gooseneck ball from the center high-mount camera that was blocked with the tri-fold cover. Like others have shared, don't expect a dry bed! The omission of a seal from the rear of the rails to the tailgate is confusing - as is the lack of seal length on the head rail to from a seal up front. I'll figure something out for both eventually, but a little underwhelming for the would-be low cost to address in design.
I'm very satisfied with the product. I previously had a flip top style tonneau cover on an older truck which blocked my rearview mirror when fully up. Not a problem with this unit. The majority of the full length bed is still usable. The unit only hangs down about 8 to 10 inches or so into the bed. I had no problem installing it on my own. The fit was perfect. Overall a good experience. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a third brace in the middle for the side panels, just to provide extra support in case someone sits down on the bed rail and puts more wait on the side panel than the bed. That said, it does feel pretty solid and looks great.
Overall for the price I’m not satisfied. I followed the manufacturers instructions and it worked smoothly for about a month and then the tracks started getting rougher and rougher. It will open about half way and then you need to get in and push it from side to side for it to fully retract. I also had the cover fall down off the track in the center and it was a huge pain to get it back in the track by myself with cargo inside the bed. You are better off spending an extra $100-200 and going with the “real truck” roll up bed cover.

Very easy one man install. Looks amazing. very flush with bed rails. will slide over 5th Wheel hitch. gives enough room under Canister to put 36 gallon fuel tank.
The bed cover is amazing! I have a low bed rack that doesn’t work with a folding cover, so this retractable cover was the perfect choice. Now I can leave the rack in place and access the bed. Installation was pretty easy, a little confusing just from the directions, but it probably would have been easier if I watched a video. The clamps weren’t intuitive, but made sense once they were in and feel super secure. I’ve only had it in for a few days, but just took the truck camping for a long weekend and used the cover a bunch. I can’t speak to the longevity yet, but so far, so good!
Love the sleekness of the cover. I removed a bak revolver and replaced it with this one. Much easier to hook up the 5th wheel without the giant roll of cover behind the cab. Super easy to open and close. The only issue I had was the front mounting hardware did not fit for some reason. They would not loop together due to the Engel of the truck bed. Not a big deal as I made it work just fine.pretty easy install as I did the entire thing alone as a 58 year old man with a wrecked back!

Well after a year it stil is working as if I just put it in. It’s outside every day and holding up very well.

Actually I really like my tonneau. I wanted one for years and was so excited to finally get one. I searched for a while before deciding on this Switchblade Retractable.
Initially, it snapped back perfectly when released. It no longer does. I have to push it back to expose the bed. Also a part of the track on the driver’s side pulls out of its housing as I pull the cord to close the cover. I am finding that it doesn’t do the best job of keeping the bed dry. It can get pretty wet in there depending on the amount of rainfall. That’s probably the biggest disappointment.
If I am overlooking a mere maintenance issue on my part, I’m happy to consider that and rectify if it is in fact something I have neglected.
Bottom line, I still really like the tonneau cover. It looks great and works well enough to do the job of covering the bed. It feels secure enough that I don’t worry about the bed contents when the cover is pulled and the gate is not locked.

I apologize for the annoyances. It sounds like a screw ped out of the rail and just needs to be replaced adding some loktite to the screw threads to prevent it from ping out again. The manufacturer will replace this screw for you. The manual covers are spring assisted but they will need some manual pulling and pushing. No tonneau cover is 100 water proof. I would make sure your rails are on correctly and that your seals are smooth and not wavy which could cause excess water to seep in.
Just installed lt yesterday, went well, looks great on my Denali canyon. The switch blade is functional, appears. to be well designed, and gives me easy access and security I needed as i tow truck behind our motor home. Ready to hit the road. ( as soon as the coronia virus is gone). If only everyone would behave them selves, we could all get back to work and living life again, come on Americans knock of the politics, let’s roll !!!
Product arrived with box partially open. Install went OK, was missing a few nuts, lock washers and washers other than that it looks and works well.

Fantastic
My cover was delivered within 3 days.
This is my first bed cover and I am very pleased with it.
After watching the installation video the instructions were easy to follow.
I have a factory sprayed Bed liner so I didn’t have a good place for the drain lines.
All of the rubber plugs were covered with Bed liner spray.
I would recommend this liner.
