You don’t have to take the cover off to haul big items. The JackRabbit’s retractable design uses a tension spring inside the canister so it slides open smoothly with a turn of the handle. It retracts into a compact 9-1/4" tall x 9-3/4" deep canister at the front of the bed, keeping your rear window clear. When you need partial coverage, the cover engages the rails at 12" intervals, so you can secure longer loads or keep part of the bed covered while towing or working.

Rain and car washes don’t have to mean a soaked bed. The built-in water management system channels water through the side rails into the canister and down drain tubes that exit through the bed floor. A foam seal under the rails and a large rear seal close the gap between the cover and tailgate to help keep out dust and moisture. That means your tools, groceries, or camping gear stay protected from weather and road grime.
The JackRabbit combines strength and style in one piece. Its ArmorTek deck bonds a black vinyl top layer to heavy-duty aluminum panels, giving you the seamless look of a soft cover with the rigid security of a hard one. The flush-mount rails sit level with the bed for a low, aerodynamic profile that helps reduce drag. Whether you’re after a cleaner look or a tougher shield, this cover holds up under everyday use without bulking up your truck.

Security is built in, not added on. The JackRabbit locks at any point along the rails using the key latch at the tailgate, so you can protect anything from small tools to full-size cargo. With the tailgate locked, your bed is fully sealed off. The aluminum slats resist prying or puncturing better than soft or tri-fold covers, giving peace of mind when you leave gear in the bed.

Getting it on the truck doesn’t require special tools. The side rails clamp inside the bed rails using two clamps per side—no drilling needed. The canister bolts to the rails, and the included drain tubes route through the factory holes in the bed floor. Once it’s tightened down, you’re ready to roll with a clean, solid fit that stays put mile after mile.

Ratings & Reviews
Great product!! Installation was pretty easy. Attaching the side rails were a little tricky at first, but once you figure out how they attach, pretty easy from there. Looks good on my Chevy 2500 HD! Highly recommend it!
product arrrived when it was suspossed too. Works good. Had to partially redo the install has one side was stuck. got it to work fine.
I just love the Tonneau cover! It was easy to install and keeps everything dry and clean. My son and grandson are jealous and want one for their pickups.
The directions seem attempted but, not updated or clear at all. The screws and bold threads were cheap, strip out easy. It looks sharp but, if a tight seal is needed, this is not it at all. It is for “locking/hiding items, monsoon or snow main protection but, stuff is going to get wet 100%. For a product of the caliber and cost, these types of things create doubt in a product and longevity.
Great service from etrailer! Was backordered, they kept me updated well. When it came in, I was headed out of town so ONE call placed it on hold until I returned. It was queued up to ship when I returned, and that is exactly what happened. I missed the notes in reviews about the video, so I went with the paper. Did a little figuring-out and got it installed, but one side would not roll out. Cant see the mechanics of it in the cannister, so I called Pace-Edwards. They connected me with an engineer who correctly diagnosed the problem, sent the needed part, told me the procedure to effect the corrections, and it is now the best top I've had (and there have been many...). So, the shims that are on the clamps are on the clamps already installed on the rail, not the ones you install. And you need to be sure both sides of the mat are in front of the guide before you install the rails. If you read this review, the take-away is watch the video, heed the advice, and yes, the new tow-beast DOES fit in the garage. If only just...
Have not installed it yet but I am very happy with the one I had on my ram truck and will be installing this one on my Ford this weekend
This is the second Pace Edwards Tonneau cover I’ve owned. My first was on my 2021 Ram and the second went on my 2024 Chevrolet 3500 High Country. Both cover have worked flawlessly and I have no regrets purchasing these two covers.
The bed cover is great. The instructions not to much. They were quite confusing. And the Allen key and socket/wrench sizes in the tools required section were not the correct sizing.
I did the whole install in around 2.5 hours all by myself. It’s doable, but would be much much easier with a second person.
Had to use parts from my old retractable cover to complete the project .
I like the look and fit, getting the rails to slide in to the canister was a little challenging - but over all it works well. I will say the clamps have grooves in them to slide in for locking - I had a really hard time getting those to slide into place.
I was really disappointed in this cover. I've had retractable ones on other trucks and this one is cheaper than ones I've had in the past. It has a plastic drum where as better ones are made of stainless steel. The locking mechanize is really difficult to turn and I have already had problems with it. The installation directions are useless.
I would not recommend this cover. If it wasn't so heavy I would have returned it.
I like it much better than my old Flip Pac. It seems about as sturdy as the Flip Pac as well, I anticipated it would be more rigid, but that was only my perception so I did not knock a star off. Very easy to use. The instructions need an update, it looks as though they are now doing a step during assembly. Would have been much easier to install with a second person, like stated in the instructions, but I did manage by myself. Realy like the look and fitment, haven't tested the water tightness yet.
Excellent product, sliding the rails through the blanket guides was a little tricky On one side until I realized the blanket shifted in the canister during shipping. That could be stated in step 3 to check for proper alignment before trying to install rails.
Love the cover
Just installed but so far,I love it. Had difficulty installing the side rails while it was sitting on the box in the bed. Tried 3 times and couldn't get it. Took everything out of the bed, placed it on the ground, rotated 90 degrees. This way the rails were installed vertically. Fell into place. Obviously, this way took an additional person, but it worked.
Not as easily done by yourself but doable though. Took me about a hour. Looks great. Had questions about the bedcovers on top edge, to leave or remove. See pics. For some reason it was a little snug at backend of truck bed.
I enjoy the cover, it works very well and has held up good. It held up well in a rare southern ice and snow storm we had, little to no damage from weight of snow and ice.
Great product. Easy to install once u watch video
I have a couple of issues. It rattles while driving and it leaks water along the tailgate.
We love our Tonneau Cover! It has been a practical solution for keeping items dry and safe when we travel. We have also had a number of fellow campers and travelers admire how it looks and how convenient it is to use. We would highly recommend this type of tonneau cover.
Jackrabbit has been installed for a week now. Simple installation took less than an hour. Looks good and operates well. Having rained, it seems I'll need to add some weather stripping in some areas.
Rails and head box arrived on different days. Side rails arrived with a 3/4" long gouge on the top of the drivers side which was disappointing.
Overall happy with the purchase.
Install was fairly straight forward. Once I figured out how the side rails attached, assembly went well. Looks great on the truck. Haven't tested how water resistant it is yet but looking at the foam gaskets around the perimeter after the rails were leveled properly, it should be really resistant to any water leaking in. I had another brand retractable cover on my last truck. This one has superior fit and finish and I like the operation better.
works well with my 5th wheel hitch. The slide channel does need to be lubed on occasion to operate smoothly. Does keep bed contents protected (out of sight) when it is closed.
Fits great. Follow the instructions. Took about an hour to install although this is the second one I’ve owned.

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. I have reached out to the manufacturer and have found that with the lighter vinyl cover, some sound is normal while driving at higher speeds. Also the best way to determine where it is leaking is to perform what they call a water test. For a water test you would need to spray water up into the air, and let it fall onto the cover in the same way rain would. You may need to put your thumb over the hole of the hose to pressurize the water, to help simulate rain s. Try to avoid aiming the spray directly at the cover near the seals and corners because it will force the water through. It would be beneficial to have someone to be under the cover to get a video recording of where the water comes through.
