Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Rear-Wheel BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2007 to 2021 Toyota Tundra, and on custom-fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle and our Fit Guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, upgrading the suspension system on your truck can definitely improve that ride quality. It's gonna reduce sag when you're hauling or towing heavier loads, and it's gonna make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling as well.
But, unfortunately, that suspension upgrade is not gonna be able to reduce the extra workload that's being placed on your factory brakes. So, if you've ever felt like your truck takes longer to stop when you're towing a heavy trailer or hauling a load, or maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than expected, or maybe that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors that are gonna help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing. And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes, so that OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to, 900 rather, 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 67% better than the standard GEOMET coatings on most commonly used OEM parts. That coating's also going to help protect these rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving. It's gonna help keep your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting brake performance.
By the way, these pads also feature a bed-in coating, indicated by these blue stripes here on the pads. That's gonna transfer to the rotors to protect it during those first stops, so you're gonna be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation.
