Features to know about

Stay Level When the Load Hits: 800-lb Helper Spring Support

Heavy gear or a loaded trailer can make the rear end sag and throw off your balance. The SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit adds up to 800 lbs of support to your factory leaf springs. Mounted above the OEM springs, these helper springs automatically engage when your suspension flexes under weight, lifting the rear and keeping it level without bottoming out. That means steadier handling, proper headlight aim, and a more confident ride when towing or hauling.

Comparison showing vehicle stance before and after installing SuperSprings helper leaf springs, highlighting reduced sag and improved suspension support under load.

Keep Control in Crosswinds and Corners: Built-In Sway Reduction

When wind blasts or curves throw your truck around, these helper springs act like built-in sway bars. The roller-and-shackle setup helps keep the OEM springs from twisting, cutting sway by up to 30 percent. The result is a more planted feel on highways or mountain roads, especially when passing big rigs or cornering under load.

No Air Lines or Upkeep: Maintenance-Free Load Support

There’s nothing to air up, watch for leaks, or adjust between trips. These springs work automatically—load them up and they react on their own. No tubing, no gauges, no crawling under the truck to tweak air pressure. Once bolted on above your existing springs, they keep doing their job trip after trip without extra maintenance.

Set It How You Want It: Customizable Ride Height and Support

The shackles that attach these helper springs let you choose your setup. Use the upper bolt holes for constant heavy loads or older suspension that’s lost some height, the lower holes to maintain factory ride conditions, or a mix of both for balanced comfort and support. This flexibility lets you dial in how much lift and stiffness you want based on how you use your truck.

DIY Friendly Install: Bolt-On Design with No Drilling

You can mount this kit with basic tools right in your driveway. The system bolts directly above your factory leaf springs—no drilling required—and includes an additional mounting kit for setups where the OEM leafs sit above the axle. The brackets act as fulcrum points for quiet operation when unloaded, giving you a clean install and a smooth ride whether empty or loaded down.

800-lb Capacity. Install these helper leaf springs above your vehicle's rear factory leaf springs. They reduce sway and prevent sagging, which is perfect for towing or hauling heavy loads. Designed for OEM springs that sit above the axle.

by:

Super Springs and mounting kit was very easy to install on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4. The springs raised the ride height 1-1/2 inches and made a big improvement to the original leaf springs that were sagging. The truck drive like new again with less body lean in turns. The ride quality actually improved

by:

Superspring purchase was right on the mark. Gave George J. all the info on my truck, rv and what I was experiencing. He suggested the SSA5MTKT springs that they should take care of my problem. I installed them in 45 minutes, hooked to my rv and made a pull. I was able to pull at 65 and 70 mph with minimal bouncing and rocking. An increase of 1" in loaded ride height and 10-15 mph was perfect. Thanks George J. and the staff at Etrailer.com

by:

Great product, very clear instructions. I really appreciated the stickers on each spring showing the correct orientation, that took all of the guess work out of it.

Thanks Supersprings for making a great kit and confirming the product would work with the airbags I had installed.

by:

Springs arrived one day earlier than promised then the mounting kit arrived the next day, on time. Checked for the fit of the mounting kit and it clears the axle and bolt sticking up through the existing springs, but didn't check clearance for the springs yet, will wait until I have more time and actually install them. The springs and mounting kit look strong and should do their job.

by:

Exceeded all expectations

by:

These helper springs worked well. My truck didn't sag nearly as much with similar loads in it than it did before. Probably raised it around 4-5 inches when loaded and about an inch when not. Only complaint is the bolts holding the product to the adapter for a spring over axle setup are not of a high grade. They broke, but I may have overtightened them. I replaced them with some grade 8 bolts from the hardware store. They are only needed to hold the new spring in place when the vehicle is raised off the ground. They don't affect the performance of the product.

They work great and have no problems

This product is a must if you are looking for a pleasant ride empty, yet still have additional capacity when you need it. I purchased it because I haul a Lance 1062 camper and was not pleased with the air bag setup I had been using. The air bags would handle the load just fine, but I got a lot of side to side motion while going around corners. I even set each air bag up independent of the other. The SSA15 kit eliminated the side to side motion. It really does act like a sway bar. I recommend you remove the rear tires when you install, it will make it much easier.

by:

Can not believe the conversion did not include beefing up suspension! Much superior ride with Supersprings and less complicated than airbags. Also added new Sumo shocks front and rear. They also removed the sway bar because of generator installation.

by:

The springs, I’ve used on a couple different vehicles over the years, as I’ve also used several air bag set ups, I wanted the simplicity of a one and done for the life of the vehicle kind of setup. This is what I get with these. Install was fairly easy with my available tools and I would easily recommend these to anyone that wanted something purposeful, reliable and straight forward. I load the van with ADV motorcycles, Dirtbike’s and trailers full of gear, supplies and wood and they do just fine, keep a level ride and don’t say in the least. Satisfaction thus far! application

by:

I used the SuperSprings to help support my Slide In Camper for my 2500 Chevy. They support good. I have Timbren installed also, but were bottomed out. After adding the SuperSprings with the Timbren the camper is supported good. The truck sits and rides level

by:

Very pleased! There are two settings, but I prefer the heavier capacity setting and higher in the rear feeling. It has made all the difference in the world with my long wheelbase 2002 Chevrolet Astro Van. I really do not feel that it has changed my ride comfort that much, very little, if any. I always have some kind of load on the van, whether hauling cargo in the van, or towing a trailer, that my ride is still as smooth as always. But, the remarkable thing is, that now my rear end isn't sagging to the ground like it always use to be, even without a load! I'm super pleased and would recommend these springs to everyone for the reasons I've shared above.

by:

Packages arrived on time, everything was there, installation went good, I removed the rear tires to make it easier, picked the rear of the truck up by 1 3/4 inches, have not hooked up 5 th wheel yet, we will see if it helps with the bottoming out .

by:

I bought these for my 2011 Silverado 1500 crew cab 4wd, truck had a 6” lift and 35” tires. I was frequently towing a 5k pound horse trailer ( bumper pull not gooseneck ) and was getting a lot of bounce in the truck. As a honest review, I installed them ( quick and easy I add ) and removed them a month or so later. They did everything they were suppose to, sway was better, felt more In control at high speeds, and less squat on the truck. My complaint was my truck rode like a 3/4 ton truck without the trailer and I didn’t have 3/4 ton power. So I removed them to get my ride quality back, eventually selling the truck and buying a 3/4 ton. Now in another 3/4 ton for a few week, I would say it wasn’t as bad as a true 3/4 ton, but it does firm up the ride a bit. I still give it 5 stars because it did exactly what it was suppose to, super cost effective, easy to install and remove, no fabrication etc. also I requested some precise measurements on individual pieces from etrailer customer service for fitment with my lift kit and they responded same day with all measurements I needed.

Sum up if your debating, it’s easy to install, easy to remove, way cheaper than bags, adjustable, work great.

Used to sell SS, easy effective upgrade as usual....

If you watch the video on installation from the model - SSA13MXKT, you will see how to install them, that's why I don't have any pictures. It took me about 2-1/2 hours to install. The brackets were a plated color and I painted everything black before installed them. My truck was pretty clean underneath so I think they look better. I installed them on a 2019 GMC Denali HD 2500 Duramax. As far as handling, after the install, I did not notice too much difference empty. But - when I had my 5th wheel hooked up, there was a difference, not a significant amount, but a difference. My pin weight on the trailer is roughly 1,350 lbs. also. Now for the dimensions here is what I got - I would say, these dimensions are within an 1/8". The dimensions were taken from the center of the tire to a line on the truck, front and rear.
BEFORE INSTALL -
Rear - 43"
Front - 40-1/8"
AFTER INSTALL -
Rear - 44"
Front - 40-1/16"
WITH MY CAMPER HOOKED UP
1,350 lbs. Pin Weight (CAT Scale Certified)
Rear - 42-5/8"
Front - 40-1/8"
As you can see, it dropped the truck down 1-3/8". Before the install my truck would "squat" approximately 2-1/2" So, they made a big difference, an 1-1/8" difference. Before the install, the front was about (I never got a good measurement on that) 41".

We purchased the product and it arrived on time, scheduled the mechanic to install the springs at the mechanics shop on step 1 of the instructions that we needed a special bolt kit for an additional $120.00 this was very miss leading. We ordered the additional bolt kit should be delivered on 11/18/24 we will see what is next. It would have been nice to have a pop up or some type of information warning us of the additional bolt kit when ordering the product stating we needed to purchase and additional kit. Im not to impressed with the purchasing part of the SuperSprings experience, hopefully they will be a superior product so I can forget about the bad experience. We will see

by:

Great price fast shipper easy to work with on ordering

by:

Overall, the installation of the SuperSprings kit went pretty well. The instructions sent with the kit were not all that clear, but the info on etrailer's website saved the day. Can't wait to put the camper back on the truck and see how it rides!

by:

These helper springs were installed on my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with 92K miles. Previously, I had used Timbren "enhancers". I like the super springs much better. The ride is much better with the SS. Driving over a speed bump no longer results in whiplash that the Timbren enhancers caused. With a 1000# slide in truck camper the truck sits level. There is not a lot of sway in cross winds. I did install a rear sway bar so that the truck handles normally when my wife drives it loaded. I also tow a boat while the camper is in the bed and there are no negative aspects to this. I recommend the Super Springs for load control on a 06 GMC.

by:

The kit looks really good but I can’t figure out how to install. Enclosed are two photos showing my van suspension and the parts your sent. The instructions do not show my van with only one spring. Can you advise?????????????? Thanks.

by:

I have ordered a few things from etrailer and they have been on top of things As for this particular item (super springs) I’m very impressed!!! I have a very heavy over loaded truck I typically run 70 to 80 psi in air bags I had my doubts that it would put me at my ride height that I wanted it’s exactly where it needs to be I hope it holds the same or close to it when I hook to my trailers. wish I would have taken before and after pics but again very impressed and would highly recommend

by:

The Super Springs work great! I pull a 8,500# trailer with a hitch weight of 950# with a 2004 GMC Sierra 1/2 Ton. The truck pulls fine but even with an equalizer hitch still had some sag. The Super Springs were easy to install and leveled the rig. After a year everything still works great.

by:

I received the kit two days earlier than expected; which, in itself was very reasonable (7 days). I received the springs on Monday and installed them on Tuesdays. The lift is unquestionably and under load quite obvious!

In the coming days I will naturally be testing it for performance, but for now I'm very pleased!!!

  • Recommended Mechanical Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
It sounds like your weight distribution system is working well and you just need some suspension support on your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. I don't recommend the leaf springs you referenced but rather the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS54FR. This is a mechanical system like the leaf spring system you referenced but this system allows you to fine tune adjust your ride and once set to your desired feel leave it alone as you will only engage the...

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement System for 2016 Nissan Frontier
Both the SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer # SSA1MTKT and the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2558 referenced in your question are confirmed to fit your 2016 Nissan Frontier. Between the two systems, I recommend going with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2558. These will provide a higher capacity to handle the additional tongue weight of both your topper and camper, and also allow for adjustability with the air bags. This simply means that you will have much greater...

  • Will SuperSprings Eliminate Axle Wrap On 2013 Nissan Frontier
With that few miles you have on your 2013 Nissan Frontier, it sounds like the suspension is the problem and I recommend you take it back to the dealer and have them check the entire system out before investing in suspension enhancements. I spoke with my contact at SuperSprings about the axle wrap. They told me that installing SuperSprings like part # SSA1MTKT, will help a bit with the axle wrap, but will not eliminate it altogether. According to the installation instructions, the bump...

  • Will the SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer For a 2014 Nissan Frontier Work with Rough Country Lift
The SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA1MTKT which is a fit for a 2014 Nissan Frontier is designed for the factory suspension. That said, I don't see how extended shackles would create any issues so you should be good to go. I looked up the Rough Country Kit for you as well to make sure there were no other components that could interfere.

The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer # SSA1MTKT are not intended to increase the height of your 2007 Nissan Frontier. The stabilizer is meant to provide more support for your vehicle when carrying heavy loads in the cargo area or towing a trailer as well as protect your existing suspension and your brakes and tires. This product will maintain the stock height of your vehicle and the only way it should raise the height is if your vehicle is already sagging due to poor support due...

For your 2015 Silverado 1500 4x4, I'd recommend the Super Springs, part # SSA5MTKT. The springs come into play as load (the pin weight of your fifth wheel) is added to the rear suspension. There's also some adjustability available, so you can dial in the amount of support and sway control needed. You'll need to measure the thickness of your existing spring pack to ensure the U-bolts included with the kit will be long enough. Measure the thickness of the leaf spring where it sits directly...

In order to fix this you will want to loosen the two nuts at the bottom of the clamp and then shift the spring back into position while tightening the nuts back down. This should keep the spring in place but if it does not please let me know and I would be happy to let you know what options...
