Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit. Now, this is a custom fit kit that is designed to fit the 1986 to 1995 Toyota pickups, and then your 1993 to 1998 Toyota T100 pickups, and then the 1995 to 1997 Toyota Tacoma, and then finally, the 1998 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma excluding PreRunner. Now, as you probably know, when towing or hauling a heavy load, you may encounter a number of problems that can make your driving experience difficult or dangerous, such as sway, body roll, or bottoming out. So when your vehicle is weighted down, your factory leaf springs can't counteract these problems to the extent that they are supposed to. The weight will overpower your leaf springs and cause them to twist or flatten out, and when that happens, they cannot support, level, or stabilize your vehicle effectively.

Additionally, because your factory leaf springs are passive, they won't begin to tackle problems, such as sway, until those problems have already started. So this kit will convert your existing vehicle factory leaf springs into a mechanically active suspension system. It will actively strengthen the leaf springs for improved ride quality with or without a load. And this all-in-one suspension system will improve stability, handling, and control, it will eliminate axle wrap, wheel hop, bottoming out, and it will reduce dangerous sway and body roll when you are cornering, and it will even keep your ride level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load, improving traction while braking and accelerating. It does use the variable rated coil tension springs, which will automatically adjust your vehicle's load, they actively and immediately support the extra weight and they'll disengage when unloaded, allowing your leaf springs to perform as intended.

They can be adjusted during installation to accommodate your towing or hauling needs, and they are independently adjustable for side to side leveling of any off center loads. So these will help extend the life of your current leaf springs, your current shock absorbers, shackles, and even your tires. Now, these springs are made here in the USA, they are constructed of a durable epoxy e-coated steel, so these are very durable, and the corrosion-resistant brackets on the ends of each of the units have a salt spray rating of more than 800 hours. So this is going to be an easy bolt-on installation. What's great about these is there's not gonna be any drilling, cutting, or welding required.

This eye bracket will wrap around the top of the factory leaf spring eye, and then the unit will secure under the leaf spring and around the factory U-bolts. Now, you're going to receive these as you see them, they're going to be fully assembled and hardware's included, and these are maintenance free, adjustments and monitoring aren't needed once they are installed. The weight capacity is 2,000 pounds. However, I do wanna point out that this kit will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity.
