This Yakima BaseLine roof rack gives you everything you need to start carrying gear right away. The system includes two 60" JetStream crossbars, four BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit so you can mount it securely on your naked roof. The JetStream’s aerodynamic bar shape helps smooth airflow, while the push-down rubber strips in the top channels seal around accessories to reduce wind noise and vibration. The result is a quieter trip whether you’re heading downtown or out on the highway with a full load of gear.
No matter what you like to carry, these crossbars keep your options open. They work with most universal cargo boxes, water carriers, snow mounts, and bike carriers that either mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. That means you can use your existing gear or add new attachments without changing your setup.
Installing accessories doesn’t require trimming or cutting rubber strips. The JetStream design uses push-down strips in the top channels so your hardware presses directly into the track and the strip closes back around it. It keeps the surface sealed against wind and weather while making installation clean and straightforward.
To keep your rack secure when you’re parked, the BaseLine towers are compatible with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately. You can add them for simple theft deterrence and peace of mind when leaving your setup loaded overnight or at a campsite.

Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.

the product was exceptional. I would recommend it to anyone, who has a vehicle with a naked roof. It is a solid as a factory installed rack. Josh went out of his way to get me a replacement torque screw driver because the first one from Yakima was working properly.
The bars are sturdy, aerodynamic and super strong. I bought this to fit a Yakima Skybox 16 and these worked great. The measurement ticks on the bottom assist with getting the box centered and have a great gasket system that you fit yourself. These mounted pretty quick even in 20 degree weather.

These Yakima crossbars are a part of the Yakima towers I bought to install on my Jeep Cherokee to hold a pair of Kayaks. They fit great as advertised. In fact I got these discounted as an open box. Arrived as part of a set of components for a roof rack and kayak carrier. I liked that etrailer had a guide to get the right components to fit my car's make and model year. This baseclip set arrived quickly, but the set for the rear of the car that arrived with them were obviously returns that had not been inspected. That set was missing parts, requiring follow-up calls to arrange for a new replacement for the incomplete set, and about a week's delay in getting the rack up on the car.
Excellent product. These bars are very quiet and look great on our truck. Assembly and installation was straightforward. We've used these bars to secure our large Yakima car top carrier and have traveled on several trips to the mountains and cabin with no issues. I suggest ordering an extra set of end caps as we've lost one in the car wash. However, have had no problems with the bars when going through the car wash.

The roof rack has been awesome! It has been really handy to be able to attach our bike rack attachment, kayak bars or traveling cargo carrier. My only complaint is that the end caps fell off somewhere along one of our many adventures and looks a bit disheveled. Other than the appearance it has been very versatile and we love it!
I have not bought car roof racks for decades--back when there were those very useful rain gutters. So I was shocked with the high prices. But what you get today is much more carefully engineered with a complicated construction. This Yakima version even comes with a manual 3.5 mm hex driver which turns out to be a torque wrench too. You use it 16 times, torquing to its limit, in installing the two cross rails on the four towers. Years ago you installed the towers where you wanted them on the rain gutters and adjusted the cross rails by sight. No more. You must go on line to Yakima. You must get the precisely engineered dimensions for your exact vehicle. You even adjust the towers for the roof slope and any toe-in of the roof line. Pay attention to the precise instructions. The result is very solid. I wish that I had more space between the cross rails. There is room for another 6 or 8 inches given where the door openings on my 2019 Toyota Highlander are spaced. But then the rear base clips would be different and that logistics would add yet more to the price. I am confident that I can secure a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood on the cross rails. And I will find my vehicle in the mall parking lot easier with those good looking rails. While I am happy with the end product, I wish the vendors had given more explanation of the fixed dimensions of today's installations. That would have helped make my on-line shopping less frustrating. Part of the problem is that Yakima and Thule do not provide cross rails for my LE Highlander's existing tower bases. And I could not get 60 inch cross rails on any of the versions that fit my LE's bases.
1 year later and still love my Yakima JetStream system. I've mostly used them to transport my kayak however I've also been able to transport some big box store items as well. They are very versatile. There is a t-track option as well as wrap around attachments. I've use ladder attachments, eyebolts, and Thule Hullavator in t-track. I've used Malone MegaWing and Yakima Skybox as wrap around attachment. What I really like about the t-track system is that you do not need to cut out the rubber track insert. You simply slide over the rubber, which allows you to adjust your system, on the fly, to load what you need to carry.
Really easy to install & work as specified. So happy with the customer support/service at etrailer.

For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
The product itself was excellent. However, it came with no installation instructions showing how to remove and replace the shorter cross-bars. Fortunately, my son-in-law who is an engineer and very knowledgeable figured it out and did the installation.
Product exactly as expected. Quality bars. Using on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Looks great installed. Little to no wind noise. And, as usual, top notch service by the etrailer crew! The Yakima rack system for my 2015 Ford Fusion is an awesome product! I hadn't needed to buy aftermarket racks in many years. These are a super solid, beefy, and very well made product. I am very impressed with the quality and fit. Yakima has obviously put lots of design time into them. And etrailer does an outstanding job of making sure you get the right product for your specific need.
I chose this rack specifically because of the spread between the bars - 32" - and for the higher weight limit, as I'm carrying a fishing kayak.
Not a bad setup. I dont believe you need the 60" bars i received as they hang over the edge of your Hyundai. You need to watch your head getting in and out of your vehicle. The Jetstream crossbars are very loud at speeds over 65 mph. Im probably used to it by now, but it is definitely noticeable. Much louder than an older Rhino Rack of similar dimensions i had. Install was simple and took about 30 minutes, just take your time and measure correctly like all roof racks.
Great product haven’t had any issues with it. Would highly recommend that anyone that’s looking for a roof rack system and a great seller at etrailer
