When you’re hauling serious gear like kayaks, ladders, or a loaded cargo box, you want bars that don’t flex or wobble. These Rhino-Rack Heavy Duty crossbars are made from aluminum and built to handle up to 220 lbs. The square bar design keeps everything stable and secure on long drives, so your gear stays put no matter the road ahead.
These bars aren’t just for weekend trips—they’re designed for real utility. The top channels fit Rhino-Rack Heavy Duty accessories like ladder rollers, load stops, and eyebolts. That means you can build out your setup exactly how you need it, whether you’re carrying tools to a job site or loading camping gear for the next adventure.
Hauling a load on the roof can mean shifting gear and annoying rattles. The built-in rubber strips inside the top channels add grip and cushioning between your cargo and the bar. They help reduce slip and vibration, keeping everything snug without scuffing up your equipment.
Once this rack is installed to your vehicle’s fixed mounting points, it’s there to stay put until you’re ready to remove it. The RLTF legs include lockable cover plates that secure the system to your roof, adding peace of mind when leaving your vehicle parked with gear on top.
The black finish gives these bars a clean look while helping them stand up to the elements. Each set includes 2 crossbars measuring 71" long x 1-5/8" wide x 1-7/8" tall, made from corrosion-resistant aluminum. The crossbars come with a limited lifetime warranty, and the legs carry a 5-year limited warranty—built tough for years of hauling.
Ratings & Reviews
Kit was great, except my SnugTop cover required longer T-Bolts for mounting the tracks. The 1.5 inch ones provided were too short. It was a little tough sourcing T/Bolts that would work. It would have been nice if longer T-Bolts could have been an option from Rhino Rack.
Amazing product. Fit, finish, quality is absolutely amazing!
Have hauled our bikes all over MI, through the UP, and back. They never moved. Rack is super simple to remove from the rails to grant full access to the PU bed.
I think this is one of the Best options out there for taking your bikes with you while still having your covered bed space. I also can install a Ski box for the winter. Ski's in the box while gear in the covered bed.
These are the perfect racks for a low profile mounting of solar panels on my Sprinter van.
This rack works perfectly on my Nissan Versa for carrying my two Perception Sound 9'6" kayaks. The Rhino-Racks look good to me. The kayaks can rest directly on the rubber pads on the rails, unlike the Yakama racks I had in the past that had bare pipe rails. Also, I expect I can buy parts to adapt this product to a different car without having to buy new towers. I am sorry there are not hooks or loops to attach bungees when carrying lumber. They are noisy in the wind, but less so when carrying the kayaks.
Order is lost. Only received half of it. Tape your boxes together like you did on previous orders.
Our bars did not arrive. It only takes three days to ship to Anchorage Alaska from anywhere CONUS.
The heavy duty rhino-racks are very well built. There is wind noise. That can be muffled some by using uni-stut closure strips. Uni-strut fasteners fit on both the top and bottom of these bars making it nice for building your own custom tie down and attachment points
Came so fast! Thank you!
All good
The rack fit perfectly and works great
Worked as intended on top of my Ram Promaster and was super easy to set up.
When I bought this for my ram promaster not even the manufacturer could tell me how it rated. I was so new they had no comparisons. I’ve had it on my van for over a year. Traveling around the country through all kinds of weather. Rain, hail, snow, and sun in the desert.
This rack is awesome.!!
Great product. Added bike mounts and placed on my Diamondback cover. Works great.
Added to my Ford Transit van to hold solar panels. Fit the factory holes well and we have had no problems. Exactally what we needed. I will be adding two more eventually but now we are having too much fun with the van.
Thank you for the help putting together the perfect system for my truck. Exactly what I needed.
Nice rack system, strong and durable. Used on a Ford e350 to mount solar panels. Only draw back, one of the L brackets that goes under the rain gutter was not bent square enough and this caused the bracket to slide off when tightened. I had to adjust this with a clamp and hammer, no issues since.
