I'm Michael with etrailer.com .Today we're taking a look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror.This is going to be a direct replacement for your 2017 through 2019 Toyota Highlanders driver's side factory mirror.And it is modeled after the Toyotas original look and fit.So no one's really going to be able to tell that you're using a replacement mirror.It's going to look like it came with your vehicle, right from the factory.Now, as I spin this around, I don't want you to worry, this back plate does come disassemble.And that is so you can paint this back plate to match your vehicles color, if you wish, to make it look even more like it came with your vehicle from the factory.Once you install this plate, it is very difficult to remove it. It's going to be very sturdy. That's why I don't have it installed.Now. I want our customer to be able to use this.If they decide to paint the back panel there.This mirror is going to be compatible with your power remote capabilities and your vehicle.So you can adjust the mirror face position with your factory power controls inside the Toyota.It's also got the heated mirror glass, which is going to help clear your frost and ice and reduce fogging, just like the original.And it's also going to have the Amber lights on the side of the mirror. That's going to flash when the turn signal is activated.You're also going to have your blind spot detection system, which has the sensors to alert whoever's driving., if there is a vehicle in your blind spot.Now, keep in mind the power remote capability, the heated glass, the turn signal, and the blind spot detection are only going to work if your vehicle already has those functions.This mirror, isn't going to add that to your vehicle.

It's just going to work if the original mirror was capable of doing that.One thing, this mirror is not capable of doing, unfortunately, is it's, can't save your preferred driving position.It doesn't have the memory capability. So if you have several different drivers and you have it set so that depending on the driver, the mirror will change position.You're not going to be able to do that with this mirror.You'll have to change it, man. What are you using your factory controls inside your vehicle.With that said, this is an OEM grade mirror. So it's going to be the same quality as your original.It's going to hold up well, the front of the glass is plated with reflective Chrome, so you're going to get a nice, clear image.It is a flat lens, so it's going to give you a true representation of the objects behind you.You're not going to have to worry about any distorting or warping.It does have the breakaway design. So if you we're to back into a pole or something, the mirror is going to fold.

So it's going to help deter the mirror itself from breaking. Give it a little bit of leeway there.It's made of a durable plastic housing with a textured black finish.As I said, the back portion can be painted, that's why they leave that removed.It's going to be very easy to install. It's got the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror.And also is going to plug in to the existing electrical wiring that your factory mirror plugged into.So basically you can just take your old Neer off, set this in its place, and you're ready to go.For those of you who like the details, this is a replacement for the original equipment number eight seven nine four zero zero E two seven two.And this is just the one driver's side mirror.If you need the passenger side mirror, you can pick that up as well, using a different part number.This does come with a 90 day warranty from K-Source to give you a little peace of mind that K-Source is standing behind their product.And it's something that you can trust that will hold up for you and do a good job.That's going to complete our look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror.
