Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. Now this is going to be a direct replacement for the 2014 through 2019 Toyota Highlander, with the heated function and also the turn signal in the mirror. So if your vehicle didn't already have those electric functions, this is not going to be an upgrade for you. This is going to be a direct replacement for those original features.

This should match up right with your original mirror. So there shouldn't be any distinguishing differences between this and your original factory mirror.If you're thinking, well, hold on. I could see the wires coming out of mine. That's because I have the cover off right now. It comes with the cover removed so that you can actually get this painted to match the rest of your vehicle.

And it's a good idea to do that before you put this cover in place so that you don't worry about any over-spray getting onto your mirror face or elsewhere on the housing, but also because these are really hard to get off once you put them on. So best to paint it up, let it dry, and then pop it into place after it's already done. But it will come separate so that you can get that painted to match if you would like.Our mirror face again is going to be a heated convex or flat style glass. So we won't have to worry about any kind of blind spots there. If there's any fog or ice build up on our mirror, we'll be able to dissipate that or melt that away with the heated function.

Our wiring is just going to be a plug to match right into our factory wiring from our vehicle. We'll get new nuts to get this installed so we can tighten everything down. So just take your old mirror off, pop the new one in place, tighten the nuts down and you should be good to go.So pretty simple way to replace that mirror without having to make any modifications to your vehicle, no cutting or splicing required, no drilling, nothing like that. So really easy to do. Now.

This is going to be for the driver's side of our Highlander. If you need the passenger side with those same functions, you can find that here at etrailer.com using part number KS70185T. Now this does not have the blind spot detection system or the BSDS system. There's no little indicator there to tell you if a car is coming up on the side, but if again, your vehicle didn't have the remote capability where you can make adjustments inside the cab, the turn signal in the housing or that heated function, this isn't going to upgrade you. It's just going to give you a replacement for those features that you already had in your mirror.
